Nicolas Cage joins Borat director's Osama Bin Laden comedy

Nicolas Cage has been cast in Osama Bin Laden hunt comedy Army of One.

Borat director Larry Charles is adapting a GQ article about a US citizen who decided to launch his own hunt for the terrorist, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Cage will play construction worked Gary Faulkner, who made several attempts to sneak into Pakistan and Afghanistan.

The semi-scripted film is expected to diverge from the original narrative.

Cage was most recently seen in Dying of the Light.

Kanye West previewed a new Rihanna collaboration during an industry event.

The Yeezus rapper concluded a surprise presentation at the iHeartMedia Music Summit by playing the duet before reportedly slamming his laptop shut and walking off stage to a standing ovation.

The track featured 'acoustic guitar and a big, soaring chorus and melody with a massive hook' according to Billboard. 

West also performed an a cappella version of his Paul McCartney track 'Only One' during his 45-minute appearance at the event in California.

The award-winning musician reportedly spoke about his "responsibility to innovate", pinpointing points in his career when he'd done so.

Earlier this month, Ty Dolla $ign revealed that West has teamed up with both McCartney and Rihanna to record a new track which will "drop soon".

Rihanna and West previously teamed up for 'All Of The Lights' and both featured on Jay Z's track 'Run This Town'.

"I am Zach Galifianakis and I am an actor," the Birdman star said upon the opening of the 21st Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards.

And if your first reaction was "Wait, what?!" then rest assured, because you're not alone.

Despite introducing himself onscreen, many viewers were left scratching their heads as the skinny man bun-sporting thesp looked nothing like the Zach Galifianakis we've come to adore.

The 45-year-old Hangover star showed off a much slimmer appearance and a clean-shaven face when he arrived at the Shrine Auditorium on Sunday, where he apparently decided to take a cue in the hairdo department from fellow star Jared Leto.

Galifianakis previously showed off his weight loss back in October while making the promotional rounds for Birdman, and in May 2013, he opened up to Conan O'Brien about what prompted him to shed the pounds.

"I stopped drinking and I just kind of put the weight off..." he said. "I was having a lot of vodka with sausage...delicious but bad for you."

He added, "I was getting into too much trouble with the drinking, so I just kind of stopped."

Looks like it paid off in more ways than one. You look great, Zach!

According to Taiwanese media, Rainie Yang is planning to tie the knot with a businessman named Mr. Lim, whom she has been secretly dating. The reports also claimed that Rainie's mum is very satisfied with her future son-in-law and often talks about him to her neighbours.

Responding to the reports, Rainie's manager said that she 'does not know of any Mr. Lim'. 'Rainie's mum likes everyone, be it male or female,' she added.

Meanwhile, Rainie's rumored boyfriend, JPM member Prince, was recently spotted staying over at the singer's house, indirectly refuting rumors about their breakup. Prince, who is currently nursing an ankle injury, was even caught speeding when he drove Rainie to the hospital to see the dentist.

Yesterday, Kary Ng announced her marriage with her first love "Prince of Tennis", Brian Hung online. In order to create a surprise, Brian first went to Italy with Kary and were engaged there, then he invited both their parents to America to witness the important moment. In addition to a 1 million HKD diamond ring, the two were successfully wedded!

After breaking up with Shawn Yue, 28 year old singer, Kary Ng, got back together with 29 year old, "Prince of Tennis", Brian Hung last June. Just after their engagement news a few weeks ago, who knew that Kary would already become Mrs. Hung so quickly!

Nick Jonas on Scream Queens: 'I wanted a role on the comedy side'

Nick Jonas has spoken of his excitement at taking on a comedy role in Ryan Murphy's new show.

Earlier today (February 27), it was confirmed that the 'Jealous' singer will have a recurring role on Murphy's comedy-horror anthology series Scream Queens.

Details of the star's part are under wraps, but Jonas told BBC's Newsbeat that he sought out a role on the "comedy side" to contrast with his performance as fighter Nate Kulina in DirecTV's drama Kingdom.

"As an actor I was trying to find projects that I was passionate about and that would help me to grow," he explained. "So we were looking for something that would break that up a little bit, on the comedy side. So this is a darker comedy.

"Ryan Murphy is obviously a creative genius and has had major success in the last couple of years, whether it's Glee or American Horror Story.

"So I think this will be another success story."

Jamie Lee Curtis, Emma Roberts, Lea Michele, Ariana Grande, Joe Manganiello, Keke Palmer and Abigail Breslin have all been confirmed for the 15-part series, which will air later this year.

Did Cameron Diaz get a ring for Christmas? The Annie star is reportedly engaged to Benji Madden!

The 42-year-old actress and Good Charlotte rocker, 35, were first spotted together in the spring of this year. While it's unknown when during their seven-month courtship Madden popped the question, Diaz has been seen sporting various mysterious rings on that finger for a while now.

Most recently, Cameron has been consistently rocking a thick gold ring with dazzling stones. Next to it sits a thin gold band.
"It happened a few nights ago," a Madden source told People of the proposal. "All of Benji's friends are aware and happy for him. ... Her mom is a fan of him as well and gave her blessing."

"Everyone thinks it's wild but are so happy for them," a source told Us Weekly late last week. "Benji always tends to fall in love easily, but this time it's for real and he landed a great girl. They obviously both make each other incredibly happy and there's nothing better than that."

"You have to find someone in the same place as you are. Timing is everything," she said. "If you get into a relationship where you want something the guy doesn't want, it's never gonna work. You're never going to get him to be in that place. No matter how old you are, finding the guy who's in the same place as you are and wants to show up is the only way a relationship works, period."

There is this culture that says celebrities are supposed to be just like us, so people think, 'I have children, why doesn't she?' But I'm not going to do something because it’s expected. If a family happens, then it happens. If children come to me, then I would do that, but I'm not someone who feels like she has to do something because it's expected."

Nicole Richie played matchmaker for the couple, although they knew each other for years before giving their relationship a go.

"I approve of anything that's going to make Benji happy," Richie told Andy Cohen back in July (she is married to Benji's brother, Joel Madden). After divulging she was the one who set them up, Nicole added, "I'm going to take responsibility for everything!"

I'm pretty sure I have more pictures but I'm too lazy to upload them all right now :|

He's very...unique, to say it in one way. I got to see him at the Pantages theater, and his voice is absolutely outstanding. It's very clear and fit for the theater - and has that Fiyero attitude that is probably amazing because of his rock background.

I was unable to go stalk him backstage so who knows what his personality is like, but if you see on his Myspace, he's one of those goth guys haha. But he's freaking hot and adorable, actually, when his eyeliner and all that junk is off his face - he looks like the boy you would bring home to meet your parents.

It's going to be hard to say how amazing he is even if you hear the clip if you haven't watched Wicked. It's an absolutely amazing musical which calls for only the best who can sing and act at the same time. There was a non-stop standing ovation the time I saw the performance, and I'm sure that there were others as well. I'm going to say, with caution, that they were better than the original, but that's because that was the only live performance I saw : )

Benedict Cumberbatch and Stephen Fry are amongst those campaigning for pardons for the gay men who were prosecuted in the 1950s.
49,000 men were persecuted for their homosexuality in Britain in the 1950s, including Enigma code breaker Alan Turing.

Turing, who was portrayed by Cumberbatch in The Imitation Game, was convicted of gross indecency for being gay and was sentenced to chemical castration.
The Queen granted Turing a pardon in 2013. 
In a letter to The Hollywood Reporter, Cumberbatch wrote: "Alan Turing was not only prosecuted, but quite arguably persuaded to end his own life early, by a society who called him a criminal for simply seeking out the love he deserved, as all human beings do.
"Sixty years later, that same government claimed to 'forgive' him by pardoning him. I find this deplorable, because Turing's actions did not warrant forgiveness - theirs did - and the 49,000 other prosecuted men deserve the same."
Fry, meanwhile, recently gave a moving speech condemning the criminalisation of homosexuality, which was only legalized in the UK in 1967.

"Should Alan Turing have been pardoned just because he was a genius when somewhere between 50 to 70,000 other men were imprisoned, chemically castrated, had their lives ruined or indeed committed suicide because of the laws under which Turing suffered?" Fry asked.
"There is a feeling that perhaps if he should be pardoned, then perhaps so should all of those men, whose names were ruined in their lifetime, but who still have families.
"It was a nasty, malicious and horrific law and one that allowed so much blackmail and so much misery and so much distress, and Turing stands as a figure symbolic to his own age in the way that Oscar Wilde was."
Cumberbatch issued an apology earlier this week for using the term "colored" while calling for more diverse casting in the film industry.

For Jessica Biel, reading about herself in the newspaper is probably an everyday occurrence at the moment, as the media speculate as to whether or not the famous wife of Justine Timberlake is pregnant or not.

But now those rumors are seemingly becoming a reality, as celebrity publications report today that not only is Jessica pregnant, she’s at least three months pregnant!

There has been speculation in just about every tabloid publication, both print and online, over the last few weeks, but according to an inside source who claims to be a buddy of Jessica, the 7th Heaven star is officially due in April.

As the alleged friend told Radar Online, who published the report today, “Jessica is at least three months pregnant. And she’s due in April!”

The Jessica Biel pregnancy rumors were fueeled further by the fact that she her and Justin Timberlake had a hard time getting pregnant.

A second source revealed that the actress hasn’t had it easy getting pregnant till now, “Jessica has had tense times in the past when it comes to having a baby, so it is not surprising that she is staying mum on confirming the news publicly yet,” the insider said.

For Biel and Timberlake, who just celebrated their two year anniversary together on a trip to New Zealand, the child will be their first. According to many commentators the timing of the pregnancy is perfect as Jessica is 32 and Justin is 33.

As previously reported by the same publication, Justin and Jessica were subject to break-up rumors not long ago, when Jessica stopped showing up to support Justin at concerts and during his Saturday Night Live appearance.

Nevertheless, those break-up rumors have now been put to bed as it seems more feasible that Jessica Biel wasn’t able to turn up to support her hubby due to her new pregnancy.

Jennifer Aniston looks sooooooo much happier and more like her "old" self. Did anyone else notice how depressed and tired she always looked last year? i always thought she had gorgeous eyes and it's clear from them that she seems a lot more at peace and less depressed looking. Maybe Vince Vaughn is making her laugh more?

And please folks, no "she didn't want Brad's babies" because that has to be the most ignorant, sexist and obnoxious thing ever. Los Angeles (AFP) - The daughter of late singer Whitney Houston was pulled unconscious from her bathtub Saturday at her Georgia home, in an eerie echo of her mother's tragic death three years ago.

Bobbi Kristina Brown, 21, was found by her husband and a friend at her home in Roswell, roughly 22 miles (35 kilometers) north of Atlanta, Roswell Police Department spokeswoman Lisa Holland said.

"She is still alive and breathing and other than that I do not know her condition at this time," Holland told a news conference. "Investigators are on the scene at the hospital and the house."

The TMZ.com entertainment news website said Brown's husband Nick Gordon and a friend had performed CPR at the scene after making the discovery.

Emergency services were called to assist before Brown was whisked to North Fulton Hospital for treatment.

TMZ reported that sources close to the family said Bobbi Kristina had been placed in a medically induced coma to address swelling on the brain.

Soul diva Whitney Houston died in February 2012. She was found in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles on the eve of the music industry's annual Grammy Awards show.

Coroners concluded she died by accidental drowning, with cocaine use and heart disease as contributing factors.

Various bottles were found in the singer's hotel room -- in all some 12 medications prescribed by five different doctors, including anxiety treatment Xanax and the potent corticosteroid Prednisone, the report said.

The singer of hits such as "I Will Always Love You" sold more than 170 million records during a nearly three-decade career, but also fought a long battle against substance abuse.

The singer left all of her assets to Bobbi Kristina -- born from her troubled marriage to singer Bobby Brown -- while excluding her ex-husband.

Power Rangers actor won't face charges in death of roommate
Former Power Rangers Wild Force actor Ricardo Medina Jr will not face charges in relation to the stabbing death of his roommate at this time.
Prosecutors announced today (February 3) that no charges will be filed today against Medina, and he is expected to be released from custody.

The district attorney is seeking a more significant police investigation into the death of Joshua Sutter, reports ABC News.
According to the police's initial report, the 36-year-old allegedly stabbed Sutter with a sword on Saturday (January 31) after an argument and then called the police and stayed at his apartment until his arrest.
There had been media reports suggesting that Medina acted in self-defense prior to prosecutors choosing not to charge him at this time.

“F***ing peasants”: Conrad Hilton arrested for assaulting flight attendants in an epic air rage tant

Who’s your favorite Hilton? Decreasingly famous Paris? “Entrepreneur” Nicky? What’s that, you don’t have a fave? You do now. It’s their brother, 20-year-old Conrad Hughes Hilton III. Why? Because he’s bringing back old-timey words. Like “fracas.” And “peasant.”

The younger Hilton sibling surrendered to the FBI Tuesday after being charged with “assaulting and intimidating several flight attendants aboard a British Airways flight from London to Los Angeles” in late July. The Telegraph reports that according to a 17-page affidavit, witnesses said Conrad claimed, “I will f_cking own anyone on this flight; they are f_cking peasants” and complained that another passenger was giving him the “stink eye.” He also reportedly announced, “I could get you all fired in five minutes. I know your boss. My father will pay this out. He has done it before. Dad paid $300,000 last time.” His father is Hilton & Hyland chairman and co-founder Rick Hilton. Mr. Conrad also reportedly spent time in a bathroom “where the smell of cannabis began emanating,” punched the bulkhead and was so disruptive that children on the plane began to cry. Ninety minutes before the plane finally landed, he fell asleep and was handcuffed. You go, person who was born into incredible wealth! You show the world how a person like you does it when he flies commercial! Go big or go Economy Class!

Hilton is now charged with “interfering with a flight crew,” and could face up to 20 years in prison. He is currently free on $100,000 bail, which, if his previous alleged boast about how much his father has shelled out for him is true, seems like a relative bargain. Hilton’s attorney, O.J. Simpson defender Robert Shapiro, said that the outburst “may be the effects of a sleeping pill.” TMZ says that in documents it has obtained, Hilton admitted he’d taken a sleeping pill prior to the flight and that “I told all of them I could get all of their jobs taken away in less than 30 seconds.”

In 2012, Hilton allegedly entered a rehab facility after reportedly crashing into a parked car, but left early. At the time of the incident, neighbors claimed he told them, “See this bracelet. It costs $11,000. I can pay for everything.” TMZ reported Tuesday that following that bad July flight, “Conrad voluntarily checked into a 30-day inpatient drug and alcohol treatment program,” but he was involved in another car crash last August – less than a month after the incident. A California police officer told the Desert Sun at the time that several motorists had complained of “reckless driving.”

The witness accounts of Mr. Hilton’s behavior and words have echoes of the notorious case of Ethan Couch – the Texas teen who in 2013 struck and killed four pedestrians and whose defense argued that he’d been the victim of affluenza. He’s a young man who by multiple accounts seems to equate having money – sorry, I mean, his dad having money – with a pass to do whatever he likes. He’s a fellow who apparently believes the world is full of people like him, and peasants. The unique thing about him is that he actually allegedly said it out loud. In front of many people. You’ve got to hand it to him for the honesty.

If what he’s charged with went down as described, Mr. Hilton certainly sounds like a person struggling with far deeper issues than dissatisfaction with the service on his flight. And if that’s the case, I hope for his sake and the sake of everyone he comes into contact with, especially on the road, that he can get help and make it stick. I also appreciate a good self-revealing bozo. It’s refreshing when someone can apparently just come out and be that brazenly contemptuous of the rules of a civilization, and the little people who inhabit it. It’s a little window into how such a person must have been raised. I wouldn’t want to be trapped in a plane with you, Conrad Hilton, but I do have to share a world with you, and it’s great you’re not even pretending to have anything but hatred for the rest of us.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg donating $75 million to hospital

Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan are making a $75 million donation to a San Francisco hospital. 

The Facebook CEO announced on the social network that the couple will make the donation to San Francisco General Hospital, where Chan has worked over the last couple of years.

"We believe everyone deserves access to high quality health care," wrote Zuckerberg. "The General is the main public hospital in San Francisco, and it is an important safety net for our community. 

"More than 70% of the families it serves are uninsured or underinsured. It is open to anyone who lives, works in or visits the city."

The statement continued: "Priscilla has served at The General over the past couple of years, completing her medical residency as a paediatrician.

Zuckerberg explained that the donation will allow the hospital to double the size of its emergency room, and quadruple the number of beds. 

The money will also help buy new state-of-the-art equipment for the healthcare workers.
