Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have got married in France.

A spokesman for the couple confirmed that they tied the knot on Saturday (August 23) at a private ceremony attended by family and friends.

Jolie and Pitt confirmed their engagement back in April 2012, but never publicly announced their wedding date.

The couple tied the knot in a small ceremony at Chateau Miraval in the French village of Correns, which the couple have rented since 2008, according to Sky News.

Jolie's eldest sons, Maddox and Pax, walked her down the aisle, while Zahara and Vivienne threw petals. Shiloh and Knox were given the role of ring bearers.

Pitt and Jolie recently obtained a marriage licence from a judge in California, who is though to have traveled to France to conduct the ceremony.

The newlyweds have reportedly traveled to Malta to shoot scenes for their new film By The Sea, which sees them play husband and wife. Jolie wrote the screenplay, and is also directing the drama.

Ashlee Simpson and Evan Ross have married in a private ceremony.

The couple tied the knot at the Connecticut home of Evan's mother Diana Ross on Saturday (August 30).

Friends and family of the couple were said to be in attendance, including Simpson's 5-year-old son. Ashlee's sister Jessica Simpson served as a matron of honor, reports People.

Simpson donned Neil Lane jewelry on her big day, along with an engagement ring which was also made by the designer.

The singer and Ross announced their plans to wed on Twitter back in January.

"The love of my life said YES!!!!!!" Ross tweeted at the time.

Simpson added later: "My baby love and I are ENGAGED!!! Hallelujah Hawaii!!!" 

The former Ashlee Simpson Show star was previously married to Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz.

Gary Chaw’s daughter to leave season two of Dad, Where Are We Going?

The singer’s daughter was seen crying in the preview of the next episode and said, “Bye, I have to go.”

Malaysian singer Gary Chaw and his two children Joe, 6, and Grace, 3, have joined the second season of China version reality show Dad, Where Are You Going? early this year. But his younger child will now be leaving the show as she bade farewell to co-stars and viewers in the preview of the next episode.

Grace was seen crying and saying goodbye to the other children, “Bye, I have to go.”

Hong Kong actor Francis Ng, one of the fathers on the show, hugged and consoled her, “Grace is my goddess.”

Gary’s management explained, “Gary respects his daughter’s decision and will not force her to do anything against her will.”

The production unit shared, “Grace will leave the show and will not participate in the last stop of Dad, Where Are We Going?”

In addition, the host of the show, Li Rui, published a book which included conflicts of the show. A portion mentioned how Francis got angered by Gary during their first meeting when the latter told him, “I grew up watching your movies,” and elaborated, “Including the ones with explicit content.”

When this was made public, Francis expressed regret over participating in the show as “he thought he only had to bring his child to the zoo. Now he has become a gorilla (laughing stock).”

Joan Rivers remains on life support, confirms daughter Melissa

Joan Rivers's daughter Melissa Rivers has confirmed that the comedian is on a life support machine.

In a statement, Melissa released a statement about the 81-year-old Fashion Police presenter's condition.

"On behalf of my mother and our family, we are extremely grateful for all the love and support we've received," said Melissa.

"At this time she does remain on life support.

Melissa had previously said that the family are "keeping [their] fingers crossed" after Joan suffered from cardiac arrest while undergoing an operation on her vocal cords last week.

Carrie Underwood has revealed that she is pregnant.

The country singer and American Idol winner made the announcement via Instagram last night (September 1).

Underwood posed for a picture with her beloved dogs Ace and Penny, who were dressed in tops stating they will soon be a big brother and sister.

"In honor of "Labor" Day, Ace & Penny would like to make an announcement. Their parents couldn't be happier..." she wrote.

The baby will be the first child for the 31-year-old and husband Mike Fisher, who married in July 2010.

In a recent interview, Underwood was coy when asked whether the pair were considering starting a family, saying: "We'll know when it's that time in our lives."

45-year-old David Tao finally married his girlfriend Penny Jiang yesterday in a grand affair that cost him NT$6million (approximately S$250,000). The lovebirds tied the knot at a church ceremony in morning followed by a 55-table banquet at Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Taipei last night.


The ceremony was hosted by Taiwanese-American actor David Wu and featured photos from their loving proposal in Palawan, Philippines. Penny walked down the aisle hand in hand with her father and Davidâs mother was the marriage officiant.


Taiwanese host Chang Hsiao-yen specially wore a bow tie to represent David's deceased father Tao Dawei and gave her congratulatory speech to the newlyweds. In addition, singer Jam Hsiao gave them his blessings through his song âLoveâ,and the couple sang âMarry Meâin a tear-jerking duet.

 

The newly-weds met the media before their wedding dinner and Penny wore a black gown designed by Vera Wang worth NT$240,000 (approximately S$10,000). David even kissed Penny on the cheek and posed for the cameras.

 

The singer revealed both of them have agreed on trying for a child after his concert ends this year and Davidâs mother hopes the couple will bear her two grandchildren in future.

Taiwanese host Patty Hou confirmed on Saturday that she is two months pregnant, butis keeping a low profile as she is still in her first trimester.

While speaking to the media, the 36-year-old said that her banker husband Ken Huang and her in-laws are very happy about the news. Her manager also jokingly commented that 'it is about time for Patty to have a baby' since both her hairstylist and make-up artist have become mothers.

Meanwhile, advertisers have been knocking on Patty's doors after news of her pregnancy broke. Some companies have reportedly offered the mum-to-be close to NT$20 million (approximately S$830,000) inendorsementdeals.

Currently preoccupied with magazine and commercial shoots, Patty has yet to respond to these offers. To prepare for childbirth, the model-host spends most of her time resting at home during her off days.

Reports further claimed that the artiste deliberately cut down on her workload last year, to condition her body for pregnancy. The couple, who tied the knot in 2011, was also recently spotted travelling to Europe for a holiday.

Veronica Ferres joins Nicolas Cage thriller Pay the Ghost

Veronica Ferres has joined the cast of Nicolas Cage's thriller Pay the Ghost.

Based on Tim Lebbon's short story of the same name, Pay the Ghost stars Cage as a New York University English professor whose young son goes missing during a Halloween day parade.

German director Uli Edel is overseeing the film, which sees Sarah Wayne Callies play Cage's estranged wife.

The pair must work together with Ferres's professor to save their missing son from a supernatural ghost.

Timber Falls' Dan Kay is adapting the story.

Ferres appeared alongside Willem Dafoe and Jeff Goldblum in 2007's Adam Resurrected. She recently starred in Simon Pegg's Hector and the Search For Happiness.

Julia Roberts joins The Secret in Their Eyes remake

Julia Roberts is to star in the remake of Argentine foreign language film The Secret in Their Eyes.

She joins Chiwetel Ejiofor and Gwyneth Paltrow, who signed up to the film earlier this year.

Captain Phillips writer Billy Ray, who will also direct the film, adapted the script from the original crime thriller before rewriting specifically for Roberts, according to The Wrap.

The film will focus on Ejiofor's former MI5 official who heads to Boston, Massachusetts to aid a team of FBI agents investigating an unsolved murder.

The original movie was made in 2009 by Argentine director Juan José Campanella, who also co-wrote the script.

The Secret in Their Eyes claimed the Best Foreign Language Film prize at the 2010 Academy Awards, beating Ajami, The Milk of Sorrow, A Prophet and The White Ribbon.

The film is to begin production in Boston later this year.

Typically the choice to have children is that of the parents-to-be, but in Lady Gaga’s case, jazz legend Tony Bennett had a significant role in her decision not to reproduce right now. 

“I thought I did [want kids immediately], because I was feeling kind of finished with all of the chaos of my life,” she told Parade. “But then I started to spend a lot more time with Tony, and everything just became simpler, more pure, and more perfect. Now I think I’m going to take a lot more time before I have kids and settle down. I just want to sing.”

Gaga, 28, who has been dating Chicago Fire star Taylor Kinney since 2011, recently went through a rough patch in her career — namely, poor critical and commercial reception to her third studio album ARTPOP — and even considered giving up on music all together. 

“Six months ago I didn’t even want to sing anymore,” the “Applause” singer explained. “The other day, Tony said, ‘I’ve ­never once in my career not wanted to do this.’ It stung. Six months ago I didn’t feel that way. I tell Tony every day that he saved my life. I was so sad. I couldn’t sleep. I felt dead. And then I spent a lot of time with Tony. He wanted nothing but my friendship and my voice.”


Together the new duo, who call themselves Tony and Lady, are preparing for the release of their jazz album Cheek to Cheek, which is set to be released on Sept. 23. 


“I just love what she did on this album,” Bennett, 88, said. “She’s up there with Ella Fitzgerald, who was the greatest singer in the world.”

Popular Hong Kong model-turned-actress Angelababy and her Chinese actor boyfriend Huang Xiaoming have been dating for years, and prefer to keep their relationship low-key relationship.
However, Angelababy surprised everyone when she opened up about their relationship recently. She admitted that she has "met his parents" and said that they are "very happy now."
Angelababy and Xiaoming's relationship was perceived to be on the rocks recently with rumors of them splitting up and then getting hitched. She addressed these rumors and denied that they were ever on the verge of breaking up.
"You mean the rumours," she said, when asked about it. "Gossip cannot be trusted."
Huang Xiaoming was earlier reported to share an intimate friendship with Chinese actress Swan Wen Xin. But Angelababy defended her boyfriend, saying that he is "of good character and is trustworthy". She said she does not know much about the rumours, but that Huang Xiaoming has already explained the matter to her and she is not upset.
The 24-year-old even added she knows Swan, and found her cute.
Angelababy added that they have no plans to get married yet and will "leave it to nature". Right now, she wishes to focus more on her career.
So does she see Xiaoming as a potential husband?
She laughed in reply and said: "I hope so."

Jennifer Lawrence announced as co-host for Met Gala 2015

Jennifer Lawrence will co-host the Met Gala 2015, it has been announced.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art revealed the news, confirming that the event will take place in New York on May 4.

The Oscar-winning actress will co-chair the annual fashion ball alongside Vogue editor Anna Wintour, Yahoo boss Marissa Mayer, Chinese actress Gong Li and Rupert Murdoch's former wife, businesswoman Wendi Deng Murdoch.

Held at The Metropolitan Museum of Art's Anna Wintour Costume Center, the theme of the 2015 gala and it's accompanying exhibition will be Chinese Whispers: Tales of the East in Art, Film and Fashion.

"Chinese Whispers will primarily examine how eastward-looking Westerners have understood, misunderstood and appropriated Chinese culture in an exchange that Bolton [Andrew, curator in the museum's Costume Institute] likens to a complicated game of telephone (which the British call 'Chinese whispers')," a Vogue description said.

Sarah Jessica Parker co-chaired this year's gala alongside Lawrence's Silver Linings Playbook co-star Bradley Cooper. 

The duo have reunited for new film Serena, for which a trailer premiered earlier this week.

Kanye West refused to continue his show on Friday night in Sydney, Australia until the entire audience was standing and dancing in physical Yeezus worship. Unfortunately for Kanye's self-esteem, one of the audience members had a prosthetic leg and another was wheel-chair bound.

One concertgoer told the Daily Mail that he addressed the crowd saying "I can't do this show until everybody stand up. Unless you got a handicap pass and you get special parking and s**t." The fan waved her leg in the air and Kanye so kindly continued the show, stopping again when he saw there remained a single seated fan.

According to the tabloid, he then halted performance of "Good Life," saying "'This is the longest I've had to wait to do a song, it's unbelievable," before sending over a body guard to check that the fan was differently abled.

'The crowd was also yelling that he was in a wheelchair but he waited for Pascal's confirmation,' the witness said, while others said the crowd made 'wheelchair motions' to alert the singer to his mistake.
'When he sent Pascal up there he said, 'He is in a wheelchair? It's fine!' the witness reported.

The Taiwanese host angered fans for asking the You Who Came From The Star actor a sensitive question

After Korean star Kim Soo Hyun rose to fame for his recent drama, You Who Came From The Star, he has been invited to several TV programmes in China, including Jiangsu TV’s popular variety show Super Brain.

Soo Hyun was said to have earned NT$15 million (approximately S$620,000) for his appearance.

At the recording of the show yesterday, another guest, Taiwanese host Matilda Tao, teased him with a question that drove the audience mad with screaming. “Why did you wear a towel when you were bathing in the drama?” she asked.

Faced with such a sensitive and awkward question, Soo Hyun blushed, and replied: “If I don’t wear it, the scene would not be broadcasted!”

Her embarrassing question enraged Soo Hyun’s fans, who called her names online, branding her as “indecent” and even expressed their hate for her.

In response to the criticisms, Matilda said that the producers had wanted her to interact with Soo Hyun during the programme. “My question is related to the drama, and I did not mean to ‘take advantage’ of him,” she said.

Taiwanese singer Cyndi Wang sparked plastic surgery rumours when she posted a selfie on her microblog. Netizens commented that her jawline looks significantly sharper and smaller as compared to her past photos.

Her boyfriend, Yao Yuan Hao, declared at a sports brand’s press conference, “(she) really hasn’t gone under any plastic surgery!” sharing that he also looks significantly different from five years ago. “I’ve seen my female friends go under the knife and they always have wounds on their face. Plastic surgery requires a recovery period and her schedule is so full that she definitely has no time for it.”

Cyndi previously admitted that plastic surgery rumours affect her, with Yuan Hao admitting that she has been feeling rather low as of late. As a dutiful boyfriend, he has been consoling with her with his words, “They’re jealous that you’re too pretty and take too good care of yourself.”

Bernice Liu denies relationship rumours

Hong Kong actress Bernice Liu recently dismissed rumors saying that she is dating Fala Chen's ex-boyfriend, Daniel Sit.

As reported on On CC News, previously, rumors of romance between the two sparked when Bernice was spotted having dinner with the Neway heir at mutual friend Stefan Wong's A La Maison restaurant.

The actress, who has been unlucky in love since breaking up with TVB's Moses Chan, reportedly spent hours with Daniel before leaving the premise at 2am.

However, while speaking to the media at an event recently, Bernice said that it was not the case at all.

"I am still single right now. Daniel and I have known each other for a long time and we're only friends," she said.
