Xiao Tian Tian threatens ex-boyfriend with suicide

The Taiwanese artiste reportedly attempted suicide to stop her boyfriend from breaking up with her

Following the break-up between Taiwanese artiste Xiao Tian Tian and singer Daniel Chang (Zhang Feng Qi), there have been various reports on the former’s extreme methods to prevent the split previously. 

It was reported in a Taiwanese magazine that Xiao Tian Tian was caught on camera when she intentionally scratched Daniel’s car. Yesterday, the singer verified that the pictured car indeed belongs to him and poured his grievances, saying, “I wanted to part on good terms, but she is unwilling.”

According to Daniel, Xiao Tian Tian even offered to help nab the culprit at first. He was shell shocked to find out that it was his ex-girlfriend who did it, after checking the CCTV footage. “I was so frightened that my knees went weak, but I didn’t call the police as she apologised and paid for the reparation,” he added.

In addition, Daniel revealed that Xiao Tian Tian had tried to take her own life five times during their one and a half years of courtship. On one occasion, the actress-host burned charcoal at home and sent five pictures of her attempted suicide to him.

“Does that count as a threat? I can’t live with this fear forever,” cried Daniel.

Responding to the reports, Xiao Tian Tian’s manager, actor Wang Jian Min, said that they would “face the issue honestly” since all evidence are present.

Lee Hom publicly declares his love for wife at concert

Taiwanese heartthrob Wang Lee Hom loves his wife so much that he publicly declared his affection on Saturday during a concert in Nanning, Guangxi.

At the climax of his concert, the singer songwriter announced that he wanted to dedicate the song 'Forever Love' to his wife Lee Jinglei. It was widely known that the song was their love song. He even declared: 'Just like how all of you have always supported me, I will always support and protect Jinglei, because she is the kindest person I've ever met! To love is to cherish and protect.'

His first concert after getting married was met with blessings from fans, who decorated lighted boards that read: 'Congratulations!' and 'Happy marriage!'

Touched by the strong support, he said to his fans: 'It has been a memorable week. Besides having found my lifelong happiness, I've also seen the great support I have from my fans!'

Jinglei was unable to accompany him on his trip due to her studies. The graduate student from Columbia was in media spotlight recently due to rumours that sparked off when Lee Hom announcement of marriage.

Since that announcement 12 days ago, Jinglei has not appeared in public. In response to all the speculations, Lee Hom has defended her firmly.

However, when he arrived in Nanning for rehearsals the day before the concert, he was not wearing his wedding ring, piquing media interest again.

But he did not respond to media queries that ensued, answering only with 'thank you's. His manager explained that as Lee Hom needed to play several instruments and dance during the concert, it was not convenient for him to be wearing his wedding ring.

Dave Legeno, Harry Potter actor and MMA star, dies aged 50
Harry Potter actor Dave Legeno has died at the age of 50.
The British star, who played werewolf Fenrir Greyback in the film franchise, was found by hikers in a remote area of California's Death Valley on Sunday (July 6).


According to TMZ, it is thought that Legeno had been hiking in the national park himself when he came into difficulties.
The area is notorious for its extremely high temperatures during the summer months, and Inyo County Sheriff's Department has indicated in its initial reports that they believe the actor died of heat-related issues. A coroner's investigation is pending.


Legeno, who was a successful mixed martial artist, also starred in Guy Ritchie's Snatch, Batman Begins and EastEnders.
He is survived by his daughter Wendy.

Janice Dickinson has apologized to her former America's Next Top Model co-star Tyra Banks for their ongoing feud.
Dickinson appeared as a judge on Top Model for the first four cycles, before being dropped from the panel in 2005.


She later hit out at the show - claiming that it is "rigged" - and described Banks as "soulless" and "fat", adding that she "used to think she was a man".
Dickinson, who got engaged to her fiancé Dr. Robert Gerner in 2012, has now told Us Weekly that she regrets her comments.

 

"The one regret I've had is badmouthing Miss Tyra Banks when I was not speaking with a sober mindset," she said. "I just want to take this time to apologize to Tyra, and say I'm terribly sorry for any of the antagonistic things I've said about her in the past. It was just because I was hurt from being fired from the show."
Dickinson added: "I want to go to the marriage with Rocky with a clean slate and not having any regrets or resentments, and I think I've said some pretty nasty things, for which I humbly want to say I'm terribly sorry."
However, the world's first supermodel admitted that she is "delaying" her wedding until gay marriage is legalized across the United States, saying: "It's not fair that I can go off and get married, but certain gay couples are still waiting in their states. It's terribly unfair."

Kesha talks about eating disorder: 'My songs began to feel like lies'
Kesha has spoken about her eating disorder and her stint in rehab.
The 'Tik Tok' singer wrote an essay for Elle magazine explaining how her two-month stay helped her to recover from bulimia.


"The music industry has set unrealistic expectations for what a body is supposed to look like, and I started becoming overly critical of my own body because of that," Kesha writes. 
"I felt like people were always lurking, trying to take pictures of me with the intention of putting them up opine or printing them in magazines and making me look terrible."
Kesha admitted that empowering songs such as 'We R Who We R' started to feel like lies.
"I felt like a liar, telling people to love themselves as they are, while I was being hateful to myself and really hurting my body," she continued. 
"I wanted to control things that weren't in my power, but I was controlling the wrong things. I convinced myself that being sick, being skinny was part of my job. It felt safer somehow."
She also dismissed rumors that her eating disorder was a cover-up for a drug addiction.



"I've written songs about partying, but my dirty little secret is that I'm actually incredibly responsible. 
"I take my music and career very seriously, and certainly didn't land in this situation from partying. 
"But I was cut off from the outside world and I imagined people making up stories at a time when what I really needed was support," she added.
Kesha recently said that she was ready to take her life by the horns after checking out of rehab.

Paris Hilton shares teaser clips for 'Come Alive' video

Paris Hilton has released three teaser clips for her new music video.

The socialite shared the 'Come Alive' videos with her fans on Instagram yesterday (July 11).

The snippets show Hilton on a floral swing with her hair blowing in the wind while she sings the chorus.

She also appears at the end of a rainbow with a unicorn, and in outer space standing next to the moon. 

Hilton wears a variety of outfits in the teasers, including a long, sequinned dress with a pink feather trim, as well as a white and pink top and skirt covered in flowers. 

Hilton unveiled her new single earlier this week. It's the follow-up song to October's 'Good Time'.

Channing Tatum is pushed to his limit by Steve Carell in a new trailer for the thriller Foxcatcher.

Director Bennett Miller's new film is based on the true story of the toxic relationship between Olympic wrestling champion Mark Schultz and his schizophrenic coach John du Pont.


Tatum portrays Mark Schultz in Foxcatcher, while Carell underwent an extensive makeover to play John du Pont.
Mark Ruffalo also stars as Dave Schultz, who finds himself at odds with his friend du Pont over his brother Mark's training.
Foxcatcher has been written by E Max Frye (Something Wild) and Dan Futterman (The Birdcage).


Futterman previously collaborated with director Miller on the Academy Award-winning biographical film Capote.
Foxcatcher opens on November 14 in the US and on January 9, 2015 in the UK.

Tracy Morgan sues Wal-Mart for crash that killed 1

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — Former "Saturday Night Live" star Tracy Morgan has sued Wal-Mart over a highway crash involving one of its drivers that left him seriously injured and a fellow comedian dead.

The lawsuit, filed Thursday in U.S. District Court in New Jersey, claims Wal-Mart was negligent when a driver of one of its tractor-trailers rammed into Morgan's limousine van June 7. The complaint claims the retail giant should have known that its driver had been awake for over 24 hours and that his commute of 700 miles from his home in Georgia to work in Delaware was "unreasonable." It also alleges the driver fell asleep at the wheel.

"As a result of Wal-Mart's gross, reckless, willful, wanton, and intentional conduct, it should be appropriately punished with the imposition of punitive damages," according to the complaint.

Morgan's lawsuit seeks a jury trial and punitive and compensatory damages.

In a statement issued Saturday, Wal-Mart reiterated that it was "cooperating fully" in the ongoing investigation.

"We know it will take some time to resolve all of the remaining issues as a result of the accident, but we're committed to doing the right thing for all involved," Wal-Mart said.

The wreck on the New Jersey Turnpike killed 62-year-old comedian James McNair, who went by the name Jimmy Mack. Comedian Ardley Fuqua and Jeffrey Millea, who were injured as passengers in the limo, are also named as plaintiffs.

Morgan, the former "30 Rock" star, suffered a broken leg and broken ribs in the crash and is now in a rehabilitation center. Fuqua is recovering from crash-related injuries.

Truck driver Kevin Roper, 35, of Jonesboro, Georgia, has pleaded not guilty to death by auto and assault by auto charges. A criminal complaint also accuses him of not sleeping for more than 24 hours before the crash, a violation of New Jersey law.

A report by federal transportation safety investigators said Roper was driving 65 mph in the 60 seconds before he slammed into the limo van. The speed limit on that stretch of the turnpike is 55 mph and was lowered to 45 mph that night because of construction.

Roper had been on the job about 13 1/2 hours at the time of the crash, the report concluded. Federal rules permit truck drivers to work up to 14 hours a day, with a maximum of 11 hours behind the wheel.

Morgan, a New York City native, was returning from a standup performance at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino in Delaware when the crash occurred.

An email seeking comment from Morgan's publicist was not immediately answered Saturday.

Ex-Jersey Shore star JWoww has given birth to her first child.

JWoww, real name Jenni Farley, and fiancé Roger Mathews welcomed their baby girl Meilani Alexandra Matthews in New Jersey today (July 13).

Matthews posted on Twitter, saying: "She is here! Meilani Alexandra Mathews 7lbs 13 ounces. Words can't describe what looking into your child's eyes can do to you. Im Humbled' [sic].

The reality star announced news of her pregnancy on Christmas day. 

A spokeswoman for Farley adds: "Jenni and Roger are so excited to welcome the newest guidette Meilani Alexandra Mathews to the world weighing 7 lbs., 13 oz. 

"Meilani and her parents are doing great and are happy and healthy. Meilani is already looking to trade her baby bottle for barbells."

She revealed her baby's gender back in January, saying: "I pictured a boy this whole time, so when I saw 'girl' on the paperwork, I was like, 'No way!' But deep down I think I knew."

Roy Cheung arrested for drugs

The Chinese media recently reported that Hong Kong actor Roy Cheung has been arrested for alleged drug abuse.

As reported by Tencent Entertainment News on 2 July, the Beijing authority and the Chaiyang Narcotics Corps booked the actor while he was staying in a hotel in Beijing, and were able to seize more than a gram of marijuana in his luggage.

It was also revealed that a urine sample was taken from Roy and it tested positive for marijuana.

An insider claimed that Roy was in Hebei to attend a friend's wedding before he was arrested upon his return to Beijing.

The 51 year-old actor has acted in more than 90 movies, including "Prison on Fire", the third, fourth and sixth instalments of "Young and Dangerous", and the "Infernal Affairs" trilogy.

Yesterday Beijing Television showed the Cheung Yiu Yeung arrest footage, a video that was about 3 minutes long. In the video Cheung Yiu Yeung not only admitted to bringing marijuana to Beijing but also hiding it in a match box. A woman also appeared in the video. With his sexual orientation under question, he said that she was his girlfriend. 

In the video, Cheung Yiu Yeung wore a bathrobe and his face was not censored. However the woman in the hotel room was. At the time he was enjoying the World Cup match. When the police appeared in a surprise raid, he looked unnatural. The police asked if the woman in his room was his girlfriend, he answered, "Yes!" He said to the police that he came to Beijing on June 29th. The police asked him if he saw anyone else during this period. He said that it was his girlfriend's birthday and he attended a birthday gathering. During the conversation, he hid a match box in his hand. After discovering it the police asked him what he had in his hand. He said, "Matches!" The police immediately opened the match up and asked me what was in it. He honestly said, "Marijuana, I brought it over from Hong Kong......" Then the police took both of them away.

Shakira thanks World Cup for giving her the "love of my life"
Shakira has thanked the World Cup for bringing her and her partner together.
Speaking ahead of her closing ceremony performance tonight (July 13), the singer explained the role the tournament has had in her relationship with FC Barcelona player Gerard Pique.


She said: "[I] will never forget that I met the love of my life at the World Cup."
Shakira met Pique while promoting her 2010 World Cup song 'Waka Waka - Time for Africa' and the pair are now parents to an 18-month-old son, Milan. 
The 37-year-old added: "If it wasn't for the World Cup my son Milan would not be here."
Shakira will headline the World Cup's closing ceremony, and will perform 'La La La (Brazil 2014)' alongside Carlinhos Brown.

Olympic swimmer Ian Thorpe confirms he is gay in Parkinson interview
Olympic swimming champion Ian Thorpe has revealed that he is gay in an interview on Australian television.
The announcement confirms previous reports that the swimmer had come out in an interview with Sir Michael Parkinson on Channel 10.
 

The athlete, who is Australia's most decorated swimmer with five Olympic gold medals, told Parkinson: "I've thought about this for a long time. I'm not straight."
Thorpe had previously denied that he was gay, writing in his 2012 autobiography This Is Me that he was heterosexual. 
Having been treated for depression earlier this year, Thorpe revealed that he has only felt able to talk honestly about his sexuality in the last fortnight.
"I've wanted to [come out] for some time but I couldn't. I didn't feel as though I could," he said. "What happened was I felt the lie had become so big that I didn't want people to question my integrity."
He added: "Part of me didn't know if Australia wanted its champion to be gay. [Now] I am telling the world that I am."

Fellow Olympic swimmer Stephanie Rice showed her support for Thorpe, tweeting that he "is, and always will be, a superstar".
Thorpe is the winner of nine Olympic medals, 10 Commonwealth Games titles and 13 World titles.

Cheryl Cole weds boyfriend Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini

Cheryl Cole has married her French boyfriend Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini.

The X Factor judge broke the news that she tied the knot with Fernandez-Versini on July 7 by sharing a picture of her wedding ring on Instagram.

She wrote in a caption on Sunday (July 13): "I usually do not discuss my personal life but to stop the speculation I want to share my happy news. 

"Jean-Bernard and I married on 7/7/14… We are very happy and excited to move forward with our lives together."

The couple were first reported to be romantically involved three months ago, although Cole had previously refrained from speaking about their relationship publicly.

The 'Crazy Stupid Love' singer was previously married to footballer Ashley Cole from 2006 to 2010, with Cheryl citing "unreasonable behavior" from Ashley in court documents as the reason for their split.

She has since been involved with Dancing with the Stars professional Derek Hough and backup dancer Tre Holloway.

Cole will return to The X Factor this autumn to judge alongside Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Mel B.

Chinese actress Zhou Xun to wed end of this year

The 39-year-old actress reveals plans to wed her beau and aim for a baby next year



Zhou Xun will finally crystallise her plan to marry her beau, American actor Archie Kao, at the end of the year. The 39-year-old actress posted pictures of their recent trips to Paris, Dubai, Yunnan temple as well as experience with the pandas in Chengdu.

The couple have also met each other's' parents to discuss marriage plans and aim to have a baby next year. The pair, who have been dating for more than a year, will register their marriage in Beijing before holding the ceremony overseas.

According to sources, the actress will be reducing her workload in the next few months to prepare for her wedding and has been rejecting movie offers. At present, Zhou Xun wishes to spend more time with Archie but will make an exception if she comes across an interesting script. Though the wedding and starting a family are Zhou Xun's priority, she emphasised that will not give up acting after marriage or childbirth.

The actress, famous for her role in the Painted Skin movie series, will showcase her singing talent at a charity event for children with special needs in Hangzhou this Wednesday. Her fiancé, who intends to focus on developing his career in China, will also show his support for her at the event where she is rumoured to announce her marriage plans.

There was no response from Zhou Xun's agency with regards to the confirmed date of the announcement.

Nick Lachey: 'Vanessa Lachey and I want more kids'

Nick Lachey has said that he and Vanessa Lachey are looking forward to having more kids.

The 98 Degrees star and his wife will celebrate their son Camden John Lachey's first birthday in September.

Nick recently revealed to Extra that he and Vanessa have plans to expand their family in the future.

"We definitely want to have more kids," the musician declared.

The 'Thank God I Found You' singer also discussed the prospect of turning 40 years old in November.

"Maybe it is because I'm incredibly immature, but 40 doesn't intimidate me the way even 30 did," he said. "It is actually the best time in my life, so turning 40 is going to be a celebration and life has never been better or more exciting."

Lachey recently suggested that becoming a father completely changed his outlook on life.

Tears flowed as Taiwanese girl group S.H.E member Selina Jen revealed details behind the explosion that scarred her forever, and shared photos of her injuries for the very first time.Selina, 32, was caught in an accidental explosion while filming for the musical drama I Have a Date with Springin 2010. She sustained third degree burns on 54 percent of her body, and was hospitalised for almost three months. Although her injuries were serious, Selina has recovered well, and even completed a 10km marathon not long ago.Recently, the singer participated in CCTV’s talk show,Kai Jiang La, where she shared about her haunting experience.On that day, around 100 fans made up a human wall to cheer Selina on, causing her to cry even before filming started, as she felt both moved and nervous.The star couldn’t help breaking down a few times while recounting the incident, but she said, “This is all worth it. [I] hope that my experience of pain and recovery can encourage burn victims who are still struggling; [I want to] tell them that as long as [they’re] alive, there is hope; as long as [they’re] alive, [they] shouldn’t give up.”The program also exposed photos of her worst injuries for the very first time. The singer shed tears as she looked at the pictures, expressing that she felt most sorry towards her father: “I feel that I was very unfilial during that time. [I] vented all my negative emotions on him (her father), blaming him for not stopping me from filming the movie, and for saying the words “[I’m] grateful” repeatedly at my darkest moment.”On hindsight, Selina realised that her father was her biggest support, and regrets treating him poorly: “[He] has always been supporting me by my side; I am very thankful towards him.”In order to lighten the heavy atmosphere, she immediately cracked a joke next: “After I was injured from the explosion and was brought to the car, I got my assistant to take a photo of me. When I saw the photo, [I] felt that I really looked like Rihanna.”

The couple registered their marriage in Las Vegas last Saturday

Hong Kong singer-actor Leo Ku announced on Weibo yesterday that he has registered his marriage with Lorraine Chan, his girlfriend and personal assistant of 20 years, in Las Vegas, United States on Jul 12.

The 41-year-old posted photos from their wedding shoot and wrote: “Ever since I released my first album in 1994, you have been looking after me. From now on, let me take good care of you.” 

According to media reports, Leo and Lorraine first met at the record company in the early 90s. Although the couple did not go public until recent years, their relationship is said to be an open secret in the industry.

During Chinese New Year in February, Leo happily said “okay” when his friends jokingly told him to get married soon so that he could distribute red packets next year, hinting at his impending wedding.

Sources revealed that the singer-actor successfully proposed to Lorraine at the beginning of the year and that he had applied for two-week leave to tie the knot in Las Vegas. As only the couple’s parents flew over to witness the solemnisation ceremony, their friends and colleagues did not know about their marriage until his announcement on Weibo. The newlyweds are planning to hold their wedding banquet next year.

Also, Leo is rumoured to have set up a bakery worth HK$40 million (approximately S$8 million) for his other half. The lovebirds will reportedly make their first public appearance as husband and wife at the shop’s opening ceremony this Saturday.
