Wong Cho Lam denies using illegal mainland workers
Source
Previously, a source alleged that the actor-turned-producer had hired illegal workers for the production company after the employees were heard conversing in Mandarin after leaving a meeting that was held with Wong himself.
Wong recently released a statement through his lawyer to declare the accusation as baseless and that it has damaged his reputation. He also stated that he has the rights to take legal action against those who have slandered him.
Meanwhile, in a telephone interview with On CC, Wong said that it was a grave accusation that serves to tarnish his good name as well as the reputation of his production team.
"Such accusations can lead to an investigation by the Immigration Authority," said the actor.
Wong also admitted that the issue has been bothering him the whole time, though added that he has nothing to hide and will be pursuing the matter.
When asked if he knows the person who had made theallegations, Wong replied, "I have no idea. But my guess is someone from the entertainment industry who just wants to hurt their own kind."
Wong said that it was not the first time such a thing has happened to him since he became a producer, and expressed hope that the accuser will stop disturbing his peace.

UPDATED-G.E.M Tang refuses to speak about Yoga Lin
“I have always wanted to live comfortably, and that is only possible with both parties’ blessing,” confessed Taiwanese Mandopop star Yoga Lin, hinting that he and his rumoured girlfriend, Hong Kong singer-songwriter G.E.M. Tang have called it quits.
The latter has, reportedly, ditched the 26-year-old crooner after she rose to fame since participating in China’s popular singing competition programme for celebrities, I am a Singer.
While both parties have been keeping mum about the issue, they have both dropped hints on their respective social media account, Weibo, with phrases like “made a mistake” from G.E.M. and “we have our own direction” by Yoga.
The Taiwanese singer’s recent announcement about his intention to enlist in the army in July only further fueled speculations.
When queried by the media during his latest world tour,Speaking in Tongues, press conference yesterday, Yoga chose not to answer directly.
Instead, he replied with a couple of questions: “Must I answer? Am I handsome today?”
It was only after a resounding “very handsome” by the media that he said: “I have been trying to find a lifestyle that’d suit me best and make both parties happy,” as if hinting that their relationship has come to an end. “Now, I feel happy and I am enjoying my life.”
Emma Stone dazzles in sheer blouse at Amazing Spider-Man 2 premiere
They were also joined by a bow tie-clad Jamie Foxx.
Last week, the stars of the superhero sequel graced the red carpet at the premiere in London's Leicester Square.
Garfield arrived on a red double decker bus with a group of children from local charity Kids' City, who he had surprised with a visit dressed as Spider-Man at the after-school project in Brixton a few days prior to the screening.
The 30-year-old actor reprises his role as Peter Parker in the blockbuster, while Stone returns as his on-screen love interest Gwen Stacy.
The Marc Webb-directed Marvel movie sees Spider-Man face off against new supervillains Electro (Foxx) and Rhino (Paul Giamatti), while also delving into the hero's rekindled friendship with Oscorp's Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan).
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will open in cinemas on April 16 in the UK and May 2 in the US.

Wu Chun and daughter participate in Chinese reality TV show
Taiwanese-based Bruneian eye candy Wu Chun sent shockwaves when he announced late last year that he is a father to a two-year-old girl, when no one knew anything about his wife, whom he had dated for 18 years.
Two weeks later, he announced again that his wife had given birth to their second child '“ a boy. Subsequently, he became less private about his family, and even posted photos of his daughter online.
Just recently, he brought his first-born daughter Nei Nei to China to participate in a parent-child reality show Daddy Return Home, which is slated to air at the end of this month.
He appeared at the press conference in Beijing yesterday, during which a teaser video of him bringing his daughter around town was aired. He took her out to play, eat, changed her diapers and even coaxed her to sleep. At the end of the day, he was so tired that he exclaimed: 'It's not easy being mummy!'
When asked why he was so willing to bring his daughter onto a reality show, he said: 'Since I've already announced that I'm married with kids, there's pretty much nothing else to hide, and I actually really want to share with everyone the relationship I have with my children, so this time I'm very confident of spending time alone with my daughter.'
A similar programme Dad, Where Are You Going? produced by Hunan TV had also invited Wu Chun to participate, but he declined.
So why did he agree to participate in Daddy Come Home?
''Dad, Where Are You Going' has too much outdoor activities; it's not suitable for my daughter, so I only agreed to the indoor shots this time,' he said.
Although he did not directly respond to queries about the NT$58.3 million remuneration (approximately S$2.41 million), he said: 'My daughter is now in kindergarten, and you can see how cute she is on the show. It has nothing to do with the remuneration.'
Wu Chun will also make an appearance at Star Awards 20 Show 2 on April 27 as a guest presenter.

Ron Ng and Raymond Lam deny being bullies at TVB
Source
In the book, he said that the two stars were rude to other employees of lower ranks, with the former constantly using profanity while the latter once kicked a stunt actor out of their van as he was "too smelly". And though Ngai did not mention their actual names, a Next Media publication alleged that the two actors are Raymond Lam and Ron Ng.
However, as reported on Oriental Daily, both actors recently dismissed the allegation about their behaviour. Ron, who was contacted via telephone, joked, "If there are smelly people in the van, it would be Raymond and I. But we would always be the ones to exit the van first!"
Ron also said that they are very close with the action choreographers and stunt doubles as they grew up together, which made it absurd for him to do such a thing to a stunt actor. He then added that while he befriends all the TVB production assistants, he doesn't remember working with one named Ngai Man Ho.
Meanwhile, in regards of his supposedly profanity preference, Raymond said, "There is only one thing for me to say. I have been in this industry for ten years. Don't ask me about these things, but ask the other staff if I am the person that the writer alleged. I don't want to be a part of someone else's publicity."
UPDATED-Rainie Yang breaks up with JPM’s Prince
Responding to the reports, Rainie's manager said that she 'does not know of any Mr. Lim'. 'Rainie's mum likes everyone, be it male or female,' she added.
Meanwhile, Rainie's rumored boyfriend, JPM member Prince, was recently spotted staying over at the singer's house, indirectly refuting rumors about their breakup. Prince, who is currently nursing an ankle injury, was even caught speeding when he drove Rainie to the hospital to see the dentist.
At the same time, Prince's manager apologized for breaking traffic rules on the artiste's behalf and emphasized that the two are just 'very, very good friends'.

UPDATED - Yang Mi on bad terms with in-laws?
Source: Mingpao, Oriental Daily (images)
Translated by: aZnangel
Hawick took two days off from work for his wedding. Yesterday at 6:20pm, he arrived at the HK airport and was surrounded by reporters congratulating him. Hawick had a smile on his face the whole time and said: "I made a special trip back to HK today to pick up Yang Mi and my family. Tomorrow we'll be flying to Bali together." When asked about their wedding guests? He expressed: "Majority are my colleagues, classmates and family. We didn't invite friends from the industry because its hard to match the schedules for so many people. I don't want to trouble anybody. (Hold a wedding banquet in HK?) I still have two jobs on hand, haven't planned for a HK wedding banquet and don't have time to go on a honeymoon. Actually its fun to go on vacation with a group of friends, we'll be in Bali for three days, then we have to get back to Mainland for work."
It had been widely rumored Yang Mi is pregnant, Hawick had a big reaction when heard this: "Hahaha...ah...hahaha... I'll let you all know when there is good news!" Will Yang Mi reduce her on-screen work after marriage and focus more on the family? He expressed: "She can balance between family and work. She won't give up anything. (What if there is a baby?) Hahaha... talk about that when we do have one!" Does Hawick like to have a boy or a girl? He said: "Hahaha." But he admitted he and Yang Mi are prepared to have children. "Starting a family and having children is a very important goal in life for me. I am trying to achieve this goal now!"
It was disclosed Hawick did careful wedding planning, arranging the five star hotel and romantic beach wedding. He deliberately created a surprise for Yang Mi. Hawick said a little disappointed: "Not any surprise, everyone (the media) went to take pictures already. Whatever surprise there was is no surprise." Will the couple share the wedding photos with the public? He laughed: "Let's see if she wants to or not. Have to see whether the photos look good or not before posting." Hawick declined to reveal how much he spent on the wedding. He just laughed: "Priceless."

As reported on On CC, the actress who recently appeared at the premiere of her new movie, "Heaven is for Real" in Kowloon Tong, stated that she has been busy negotiating for new projects as well as assisting her church community.
When asked if she will continue to film TV series despite the fact that HKTV has stopped filming due to its license issue, Maggie replied, "If I say no, then that would be a lie."
"Sometimes you really have the urge to star in a series, but unless you're a script writer and have the ability to gather your own team of production, there's nothing I can do," said the actress.
Maggie also dismissed rumours saying that her asking price is too high, and joked, "My salary is not too high, but I am quite tall!"
Meanwhile, her latest drama with HKTV "Hakka Women" is still in post-production.

The actress said that the scene required her to perform physically and mentally to an extent that she is now suffering from insomnia.
"The horrifying feeling is still there. I kept recalling it and thinking that I could have done better. The thoughts keep spinning in my mind," she said.
Meanwhile, "Line Walker" producer Man Wai Hung assured that Charmaine has done the best in her performance, saying, "She had exceeded expectations, beyond the calibre of a TV Queen!"

Joey Yung berates Chapman To for inappropriate joke
Chapman To angers Joey Yung after cracking a joke at the Cantopop queen’s expense
Hong Kong actor Chapman To angered Cantopop queen Joey Yung after cracking a mean joke about her at singer Ronald Ng’s concert, said Hong Kong media.
During the concert, which was held last Saturday, Chapman revealed that he had invited Emperor Group CEO Yang Shou Cheng to invest in movie Diva two years ago, in a bid to help Joey clinch the Best Actress award. However, Joey did not manage to garner any awards, while Chapman was the one who was awarded with the “Judges’ Prize” for Best Actor.
The 41-year-old joked, “She (Joey) only just realised that I took advantage of her, so I’m dedicating this song to her. I hope that she’ll never meet someone as unlucky as me.”
Offended, Joey reprimanded him on the Internet, “When is a grown adult like you going to learn how not to cause trouble or step on other people to make yourself look better.” She added that he derived pleasure from hurting people, and is the only person whom she hates in the industry.
Chapman beat a hasty retreat, apologising and claiming that he had cracked an inappropriate joke to raise the atmosphere of the concert. He said, “I apologise to Miss Joey Yung with utmost sincerity… I treasure this friendship very much… I’m sorry!”
Last night, Chapman apologised once again, expressing that making people laugh is the most important thing to a comedian, but that has caused hurt to other people, making him think that he should be more careful in the future.
Chapman reflected on his actions saying: “After what happened this time, I should review my behaviour carefully, or else not only have I let down my friend, I will also have let down my position. I will be more careful in the future.”

Lee Hom’s picture misused in impotence advertisement
Lee Hom’s picture misused in impotence advertisement
Taiwanese singer-songwriter Lee Hom’s fans were horrified when they found their idol’s picture being used to endorse andrology at a hospital in Henan, China.
The star’s picture was found on an advertisement for sexual dysfunction and infertility treatment at the Gong Yi Eastern Hospital, and fans lamented, “How can we accept this, we’ll have to submit a complaint!”
This is not the first time the singer’s photos have been used illegally to advertise products, and fans were enraged that the hospital went as far as to use Lee Hom as an unwitting spokesperson for andrology.
They sighed, “Using other people’s photos without asking them for permission shows that they’ve lost the righteousness that medical practitioners ought to have!”
Adding on to the controversy, Lee Hom attracted flak for posting on his Weibo: “Bringing chinked-out to the whole world, performing in New York tomorrow!”
Netizens who did not approve of Lee Hom accused him of insulting the Chinese, chastising, “’Chinked-out’ is a severely derogatory term towards the Chinese. As an ABC (America-born Chinese), what is Lee Hom hoping to achieve by using the term to describe his songs even while he is aware of the racist and insulting meaning that it holds?”
Amidst the public outrage, China’s main search engine Baidu stepped up to support Lee Hom: “Chink is indeed a derogatory term for the Chinese, just like ‘negro’. ‘Chinked’ (in past tense) represents that the era of Chinese bumpkins has ended. The ‘out’ following it expresses the idea that this has all come to an end.”
Netizens bombarded the post with protests right after it was uploaded, stating, “I support Lee Hom for his courage in trying to re-shape the meaning of words with his influence. However, this explanation is crap. If you’re illiterate, don’t try to translate things.” Both parties insisted on their opposing interpretations of ‘chinked-out’.
Lee Hom’s fans used Baidu Baike (Baidu’s Wikipedia) to explain the singer’s words: “Lee Hom has always been influenced by black people, and they also had a derogatory term that was used to describe them: ‘Negro’. However, they made use of the popularity of their music and wrote the word into lyrics, turning ‘negro’ into a positive word. The concept of the ‘chinked-out’ style of music was born with the release of Lee Hom’s album “Shangri-La”. You call me a Chinese bumpkin (chink), but that’s already over (-ed), and now we’re going onto the world stage (out) to show our grace to the world.”
