Kellan Lutz on 'Twilight': 'I turned down Edward role'

Kellan Lutz has said that he turned down the role of Edward Cullen in The Twilight Saga.

The actor portrayed Emmett Cullen in the Twilight films, but recently revealed that he was originally approached for the leading part that Robert Pattinson ultimately played.

"The role [Edward Cullen] just didn't… I just didn't care to entertain it," Lutz told Access Hollywood Live. "I really wanted to play a happy role or no role for a little bit."

He went on to say: "I didn't care to audition for [the role of Edward] because he was a bit moody and emotionally challenged. But then I loved Emmett… I'm so blessed to have been able to play him."

Lutz also said that he would enjoy reuniting with the Twilight Saga cast if another sequel is ever produced.

"I love everyone. I loved to work with everyone and I loved my role," he said. "I'd love to play Emmett again or even another role in it."

The actor previously compared the popularity of Twilight to Beatlemania.

He will next star in The Legend of Hercules, opening on January 10, 2014 in the US and August 8 in the UK.

Diddy Shows His Daughters How to Dance Like Beyoncé

Sean "Diddy" Combs definitely still knows how to break it down!
The 44-year-old performer posted an Instagram video late Friday night, where he is showing his daughters how to dance.

In the fun video, the father of five busts a move with his daughters to Beyoncé's "Grown Woman" and joked that Queen Bey's new album makes him want to faint! His cute kiddos, who were clad in Hello Kitty pajamas, definitely followed their dad's lead and strutted their stuff for the cameras.

Diddy posted the adorable home video on the eve of his twin daughters, Jessie James and D'Lila Star's, 7th birthday. He captioned the post, "Y'all got watch my midnight birthday dance with My daughters. Happy Birthday Jessie James and D'Lila Star!!! Daddy loves you!!!

From the looks of it, their late night dance party was just the start of the festivities.

The next day the proud pop arranged a Disney princess-themed party for his twin girls, complete with a special appearance by princesses including Belle, Ariel, Snow White, Cinderella, Rapunzel, Aurora, Jasmine, and Tiana. The "Bad Boy For Life" star showed off his softer side and donned a king outfit, paired with a velvet robe and a crown so he could fit in with the crowd.

Guests at the birthday party got to decorate their own cakes from Duff's Cakemix and also got to pose with the princesses. In one snap, Diddy popped a pose on a stairwell with the fairy-tale characters, his daughters, and their friends. He captioned the sweet snap, "Only the best for my princesses! All things royal! Jessie & D'Lila happy 7th birthday! #CombsTwin @ladykp."

He also posted another photo of his twin girls as babies and lamented about how quickly they've grown up.

We're guessing that while he's a fan of Bey's song, he's not ready for his gals to be "grown women" just yet.

Back together for the holidays! Ashley Benson and ex-boyfriend Ryan Good are giving their romance another shot. A source close to the Pretty Little Liars actress tells Us Weekly that the two began dating again a few months ago.

Benson and Good, formerly known as Justin Bieber's "swagger coach," broke up back in March after more than one year of dating. During their time apart, Benson was rumored to be dating Spring Breakers costar James Franco. The 35-year-old actor, however, denied the reports in October.

On Friday, Dec. 20, Benson and Good attended a belated celebration for the actress' 24th birthday at the Boom Boom Room in New York City. A source tells Us that the ABC Family star threw a joint party with model pal Esther Houston.

"Ryan and Ashley were kissing each other all night," the insider tells Us.

Benson turned 24 on Dec. 18, but was too busy filming a new project to celebrate. "Another long day on set," she tweeted to her fans on her special day. "Still shooting. You guys made my day so much better. Reading all of your messages. You mean the world to me xx."

After properly partying for her birthday, Benson and boyfriend Good left the Big Apple together on Dec. 22. They posed for a picture with celeb hairstylist Chris McMillan (the man behind Jennifer Aniston and Miley Cyrus' 'dos) on the plane and posted it on Instagram with the caption "off to L.A."

The Hunger Games star said that he has tried to arrange a meeting with Watson through their managers.

He told Bang Showbiz: "I love Emma Watson. I'm dying to meet her. 

"I tried to get my manager to call, like, 'Er, could you like call Emma's manager and see if we could, like, meet or something?' It hasn't happened yet. One day, fingers crossed!''

Hutcherson added that he would be happy to date an actress.

"As far as I'm concerned, you're both actors, you understand each other's lifestyle so it's a very natural thing to have happen," he explained.

Hutcherson recently joked that co-star Jennifer Lawrence had become hard to work with since winning her Oscar.

"It's really sad to see her downward decline in personality in general, her awareness of other people's emotions," he quipped. "She's become a real Oscar monster!"

Benedict Cumberbatch has admitted that people sometimes have trouble with his name.

The actor said that Americans have the most difficulty with pronunciation.

He told The Mirror: "Some people don't understand my name. Some people think it is an STD, but I don't think that is what my parents were thinking about when they christened me."

Cumberbatch also spoke about his actress mom Wanda Ventham, who has appeared in TV shows including Only Fools and Horses and Doctor Who. She also starred in some Carry On films.

He said: "I've been trapped with men in elevators who say to me, 'Oh... I really used to like your mom. She's really hot'.

''I don't know what to say. If I say, 'No, she's not', that is really insulting to my mother, and if I say she is, it seems very wrong. She is smokin', I guess."

The first official picture of Cumberbatch playing Alan Turing were recently released.

Tyra Banks: 'I don't miss modeling'

Tyra Banks has said that she has no real desire to begin modeling again.

Banks became one of the most successful fashion models in the world in the 1990s, but in recent years has been studying at Harvard and hosting a chatshow.

In an interview with Parade, the star revelead that she does not have a strong desire to return to active modeling.

"I don't miss modeling very much because I have America's Next Top Model, so for the past ten years I've been creating photo shoots, executive producing the television show, and doing a lot of photo shoots myself," she said. 

Banks continued: "I do look back to those modeling days when it was just some people on your nails, somebody on your hair, somebody on your makeup, and you're just like, 'What angle am I going to do today?' So it was a pretty non-challenging life in terms of not having to micromanage and wear so many different hats, but it wasn't easy. 

"There's a lot of isolation with modeling, you're by yourself constantly, there's a lot of people telling you to lose weight and that you're not good enough - your hair, your skin - there's a lot of pressure."

Banks went on to stress that she is very proud of her reality competition America's Next Top Model, which recently celebrated its tenth anniversary.

"When I created Top Model, I thought if I had two seasons it would have been a success," she recalled. "I would have been happy. Now, we're getting ready to start Cycle 21 and it's unreal." 

She added: "We're casting right now and the lines are longer than ever because there are boys now, too, and a lot of people are complaining about the lines being so long and it's like, 'Well ya'll made the ratings go up by watching the boys, too'!"

Justin Bieber hints at Selena Gomez reunion with new Instagram pic

Justin Bieber has seemingly confirmed rumors that he and ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez are back together.

Bieber uploaded a picture of himself and Gomez embracing on his official Instagram account, adding the caption: "Love the way you look at me."

After two years of dating, the pair broke up in November, 2012, before briefly reconciling last January.

After their second split, the Canadian singer and American actress were spotted together several times, including at Gomez's 21st birthday party in June. 

Earlier this week, Bieber and Gomez were seen riding Segways together near his California home. 

The 19-year-old Bieber recently hinted at possible retirement plans, before posting a picture from a Toronto music studio.

Fast & Furious star Ludacris is embroiled in a child support battle over his newborn daughter. 

The rapper's former girlfriend Tamika Fuller gave birth to their daughter on December 9, 2013.

Fuller filed the suit on Friday (January 3), hoping to block a proposed $1,700 (£1,035) monthly cap on child support payments, according to WENN. 

Claiming that the rapper pays out $7,000 (£4,262) each month on lawn care, the suit also stipulates that Ludacris pays Fuller's legal fees.

Ludacris, who has yet to comment publicly on the legal battle, most recently starred in 2013's Fast & Furious 6. 

He had returned for Fast & Furious 7 late last year, prior to the death of co-star Paul Walker.

The 'We R Who We R' singer has released a statement to confirm that she is seeking treatment for an "eating disorder".

"I'm a crusader for being yourself and loving yourself, but I've found it hard to practice," she said.

Ke$ha went on to say: "I'll be unavailable for the next 30 days, seeking treatment for my eating disorder... to learn to love myself again, exactly as I am."

The popstar has issued no further comment on social media about her stay in rehab as of yet.

Ke$ha has become known for her outlandish stage costumes and occasionally overt sexual content in her song lyrics.

Her debut album Animal topped the US chart back in 2010.

Mean Girls actress Lacey Chabert has confirmed that she got married over the Christmas and New Year period.

The 31-year-old has yet to reveal the name of her new husband, but decided to share the news with fans on Twitter.

Chabert - who also attended the wedding of Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco on New Year's Eve - then shared a photo from her celebrations with her followers.

She chose to keep the identity of her partner completely under wraps, instead uploading an informal shot with her sister taken at the reception.

"Here's a pic of my maid of honor and I..my sweet sister Crissy @keekeetaylor I love you!" she captioned the Instagram snap.

James Avery, star of 'The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,' dies at 68

Nobody laid down the law like Uncle Phil when Will got out of hand.

James Avery, best known for playing Will Smith's no-nonsense rich uncle on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, the actor's manager confirmed Wednesday to E! News. He was 68.

"I'm deeply saddened to say that James Avery has passed away," Alfonso Ribeiro, who played preppy son Carlton on the 1990s-era hit, tweeted this morning. "He was a second father to me. I will miss him greatly."

Per his manager, Avery died Tuesday night at a Los Angeles hospital due to complications from open-heart surgery. He never stopped working, most recently shooting Zach Braff's indie film Wish I Was Here up until September.

Avery amassed dozens of TV and film roles over the years, including appearances on The Closer, That '70s Show and Grey's Anatomy, the imposing actor's most memorably role will always be that of lawyer (and ultimately Judge) Philip Banks, married father of three (and later four) who does his sister-in-law a favor by letting her son Will come and stay with them in Bel-Air to escape trouble in urban Philadelphia.

Cue the hilarity, which lasted for six seasons and put Smith on the road to mega-stardom.

Avery, who was born in Virginia and raised in Atlantic City, N.J., also lent that booming voice of his to a number of animated shows and films over the years, including TV's Teenage Mutanta Ninja Turtles (he was The Shredder!), the 1990s-era Iron Man series and DreamWork's The Prince of Egypt. His many live-action film credits include The Brady Bunch Movie and Dr. Dolittle 2.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Barbara Avery; step-son Kevin Waters; and his mother, Florence Avery.

"James was my teacher my protector & the most magnificent actor. We're feeling his loss very deeply. He'll always be a part of me #JamesAvery," Tatyana Ali, who played daughter Ashley on Fresh Prince, also tweeted today.

The hotly-anticipated trailer debuted on E! Online on Thursday (Jan. 2), and in the new footage, Veronica Mars (Kristen Bell) hears some bad news: her former boyfriend Logan Echolls (Jason Dohring) is caught up in some major legal troubles: he's been accused of murdering his girlfriend.

Hawick Lau and Yang Mi are getting married tomorrow at the Bali island (Indonesia). Yesterday at 6pm, Hawick finally finished working in Shanghai and flew back to Hong Kong to pick up his soon to be wife Yang Mi, his father Lau Dan and mother. The family will be flying over to Bali tomorrow for the wedding. 

Hawick took two days off from work for his wedding. Yesterday at 6:20pm, he arrived at the HK airport and was surrounded by reporters congratulating him. Hawick had a smile on his face the whole time and said: "I made a special trip back to HK today to pick up Yang Mi and my family. Tomorrow we'll be flying to Bali together." When asked about their wedding guests? He expressed: "Majority are my colleagues, classmates and family. We didn't invite friends from the industry because its hard to match the schedules for so many people. I don't want to trouble anybody. (Hold a wedding banquet in HK?) I still have two jobs on hand, haven't planned for a HK wedding banquet and don't have time to go on a honeymoon. Actually its fun to go on vacation with a group of friends, we'll be in Bali for three days, then we have to get back to Mainland for work." 

It had been widely rumored Yang Mi is pregnant, Hawick had a big reaction when heard this: "Hahaha...ah...hahaha... I'll let you all know when there is good news!" Will Yang Mi reduce her on-screen work after marriage and focus more on the family? He expressed: "She can balance between family and work. She won't give up anything. (What if there is a baby?) Hahaha... talk about that when we do have one!" Does Hawick like to have a boy or a girl? He said: "Hahaha." But he admitted he and Yang Mi are prepared to have children. "Starting a family and having children is a very important goal in life for me. I am trying to achieve this goal now!" 

It was disclosed Hawick did careful wedding planning, arranging the five star hotel and romantic beach wedding. He deliberately created a surprise for Yang Mi. Hawick said a little disappointed: "Not any surprise, everyone (the media) went to take pictures already. Whatever surprise there was is no surprise." Will the couple share the wedding photos with the public? He laughed: "Let's see if she wants to or not. Have to see whether the photos look good or not before posting." Hawick declined to reveal how much he spent on the wedding. He just laughed: "Priceless."

Melissa McCarthy returning to host Saturday Night Live

Melissa McCarthy will apparently be hosting an upcoming episode of Saturday Night Live.

The Identity Thief star has been tapped to host the Super Bowl weekend episode on February 1, industry sources have told Variety.

No announcement has been made yet about that weekend's musical guest.

McCarthy previously hosted SNL in 2011 and 2013.

The star has jokingly compared the break-neck pace of the NBC show to being assaulted.

SNL recently confirmed the hiring of Sasheer Zamata, its first African-American female cast member in over five years.

Writers LaKendra Tookes and Leslie Jones have also been added to the sketch show's staff.

Drake serves as host and musical guest on Saturday Night Live on January 18, and the January 25 installment will feature Jonah Hill.

Sharon Osbourne has spoken about her daughter Kelly's split from fiance Matthew Mosshart.

Speaking on her show The Talk, Sharon said: "Matthew is a lovely guy. They had two great years together of fun and love, and for me, that's why engagements are so important."

She added: "Engagements are a test run, aren't they? And so it didn't work for whatever reason.

"But they are still good friends and will continue to be. 

"It's just not right for them right now."

Kelly recently said of the split: "You would know if it was a bad thing, you know me. It was a mutual decision. We love each other very much.

"It just wasn't the right time for us, and I think if we weren't as mature and adult than we are, then we could have gone down a road that wasn't really nice."

Kanye West 'writes lullaby for Blue Ivy's second birthday'

Kanye West has reportedly composed a lullaby for Beyoncé and Jay Z's daughter Blue Ivy.

The Yeezus star is said to have written the lullaby as a gift for Blue Ivy for her second birthday on Tuesday (January 7).

According to the Daily Star, the rapper referenced his own daughter North West in the lyrics, which focused on the fact that neither child will have to struggle like their fathers before them.

Beyoncé and Jay Z celebrated Blue Ivy's second birthday by renting out the Jungle Island bird sanctuary within Miami Zoo for a special celebration.

Beyoncé described her daughter as her "homey" and "best friend" in an interview with Marie Claire in October.

Blue Ivy briefly features on the track 'Blue' from Beyoncé's recent self-titled fifth album.

Ke$ha's mother denies alcohol abuse rumors: "That's a total lie"

Ke$ha's mother has denied claims that her daughter is being treated for alcohol abuse.

The singer is currently at a rehab clinic in Chicago for an eating disorder, with reports suggesting that she was also admitted for alcoholism.

Pebe Sebert has now dismissed the rumors when asked if Ke$ha was being treated for any other issues.

"That's a total lie," Sebert told Celebuzz. "The place she's at is an eating disorder center.

"When they say 'people close to her', I will tell you, I travel with her everywhere, her little brother, her assistant, makeup artist, talk to anyone."

She continued: "She might be crazy and she might get s**tfaced drunk, but everyone does. She might have a few drinks here and there. But she doesn't have a drinking problem."

Speaking about her daughter's eating disorder, Sebert further explained: "She was dieting and she became bulimic. I remember over a period of a few months she got really skinny and she said she was running Runyon Canyon [in LA] and just eating well."


Ke$ha is being treated at Timberline Knolls, the same clinic that Demi Lovato attended back in 2010.

In a statement released earlier this month, Ke$ha said that she would be at the clinic for 30 days.

"I'm a crusader for being yourself and loving yourself, but I've found it hard to practice," the singer said. I'll be unavailable for the next 30 days, seeking treatment for my eating disorder."

Anne Hathaway saved from near-drowning incident on Hawaii vacation

Anne Hathaway was rescued by a surfer after getting into difficulties while swimming on a holiday in Oahu, Hawaii.

The Les Miserables star was left with minor injuries after getting caught in a rip current while swimming at a local beach, Radar Online reports.


Onlookers reportedly witnessed the 31-year-old actress screaming for help in the water. She was eventually rescued by the surfer and brought to shore. 

Hathaway's husband Adam Shulman was photographed treating an injury to her foot after the incident occured. 

The Oscar-winning actress, who married Shulman last year, recently denied rumors that she is expecting a baby. 

Hathaway is part of the all-star cast for Christopher Nolan's next project Interstellar, having previously worked with the director on The Dark Knight Rises.
