Emma Watson fake nude videos being used to spread malware
Emma Watson is being used as bait to internet users in a new malware scam.
Antivirus solutions provider Bitdefender has warned that alleged naked videos of the Harry Potter actress are actually leading to Trojan links rather than the promised content. The Emma Watson Trojan virus being shared on Facebook

Bitdefender's Chief Security Strategist, Catalin Cosoi, said: "It all starts with a Facebook comment promising to reveal private or leaked videos of Emma Watson. The comments are automatically posted by users infected with the malware. As is the case with many Facebook scams, victims end up as marketers for cyber-crooks."
Cosoi continued: "When users click on the malicious links, they are redirected to a salacious YouTube copycat. Future victims are then asked to update their Flash Player to the latest secured version of Video Player, as an error allegedly prevents them from watching the leaked videos of Emma Watson."
The videos contain several harmful Trojans which search through personal data, steal legitimate apps and hijack Facebook sessions. The malware also steals phone numbers through premium SMS scams and changes browser settings.

The Trojan uses the authentic Flash Player icon and drops the infected components into the computer's files.
The videos are hosted by a fake YouTube account which uses the Anonymous Guy Fawkes mask as its avatar.
The new scam comes weeks after a hoax nude photo leak targeted Watson. It emerged that a site named Rantic Marketing was making the bogus threat in an attempt to close the 4chan forum.
Watson recently launched a gender equality campaign for the UN named HeForShe.
