Jennifer Lawrence looks demure in latest Dior handbag campaign
Jennifer Lawrence has returned as the face of Dior's new handbag collection, marking her fourth campaign with the French fashion house.
The 24-year-old actress, who returns as Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1, models the label's new Be Dior flap bag in the images shot by French fashion photographer Patrick Demarchelier.
The star looks chic in a black tux suit designed by Dior's Raf Simons, and wears her cropped blonde hair swept back into a quiff.
Lawrence was named as the face of Miss Dior handbags in October 2012, and enthused about her new role: "It's such a dream to represent an iconic brand that is synonymous with high fashion."
And on her own style, the Oscar-winning star added: "It's impossible to be in the industry without getting even the slightest introduction to fashion. I hate being overdressed so I normally find a way to 'casualise' anything too showy.
"If I have a red-carpet event, I definitely want a couple of hours to get ready. But for my everyday life, I'm normally ready in 15 minutes."
Creative director Simons revealed he selected the star as the face after watching her in the first installment of The Hunger Games and was so taken by her "youth and her classic beauty, but also her force of character and the complexity she's capable of embodying at such a young age".
He revealed as well that he sought her advice during the filming of the forthcoming documentary Dior and I, although he admitted they clashed, explaining: "She said she looks at things very technically, when she looks at a film she's in, but it was not the case for me at all.
"It's all about emotion. It's not about how it's cut and all that."
Last year, Lawrence appeared in an understated shoot for the brand wearing minimal make-up and her hair pulled back into a messy bun.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 will open on November 20 this year and Part 2 is scheduled for release on November 20, 2015.
