Miley Cyrus faces fine or jail after being spanked with Mexican flag
Miley Cyrus is potentially facing a fine or jail time for disrespecting the Mexican flag, after she was spanked with it during a performance.
The incident took place during her 'Bangerz' show in Monterrey in the Mexican state of Nuevo León on the country's Independence Day (September 16), when a backing dancer slapped the twerking singer with the national flag.
According to Reuters, Nuevo León state legislature has approved a warrant, meaning Cyrus may be required to pay a $1,200 fine or face being detained for 36 hours.
The singer recently channelled Nicki Minaj as she wore a big fake bum at the same 'Bangerz' show in Monterrey, Mexico.
Cyrus this month unveiled a cover version of the Led Zeppelin track 'Babe I'm Gonna Leave You', retitling the track 'Baby, I'm Gonna Leave You'.
