The manager of Taiwanese celebrity couple Blue Lan and Jade Chou has admitted that the lovebirds are currently in the midst of planning their big day. “They will announce the good news when the date has been set,” he said.
Blue, who dated Taiwanese actress-host Barbie Hsu for four years before their high-profile split in 2006, uploaded a photo of a 1.5 carat diamond ring (reportedly worth S$63,000) on Facebook yesterday.
He wrote: “I’ve started to seriously think about my life recently. I am very fortunate to be blessed with good parents and a sweet other half.”
Although many believe that Blue has proposed to Jade with the diamond ring, their manager clarified that the photo of the ring only has a “symbolic meaning” and that the actor did not buy it. “He is not the type who would [propose]. They both agreed to go into the wedding planning directly,” he added.
At a recent programme recording, Jade let on that Blue often cooks for her, singing praises of her boyfriend’s and her future mother-in-law’s culinary skills. The actress also shared that both their parents have not given them pressure to tie the knot.
“They are leaving it to us as they respect our decisions,” reiterated Jade.
