Popular Taiwanese host Aya is was recently rumoured to be pregnant, after she appeared to have gained some weight when spotted at an event.
Just last week, she commented on Barbie and Dee Hsu’s photo, saying: “More and more mothers-to-be!” and appeared to be genuinely happy for her friends who will be giving birth soon.
She also recently said: “A man hopes to have the perfect significant other, and we need to treasure the one by our side to find perfection.”
As an artiste with little or no scandalous news in her showbiz career, it was not till 2006 when she went to further her studies in the US, that news broke that she was dating an American born Chinese. The couple has been together in a long-distance relationship for about seven years to date.
Her manager, however, denied the pregnancy rumours. “She still has so much work in China, how can she be pregnant?”
It is understood that after her father passed away eight years ago, Aya began to develope a pessimistic view on life, and held a firm conviction that she does not want to get married. She used to say: “I don’t need men or children.”
