Hugh Jackman has undergone minor surgery to have cancerous cells removed from his nose.
The actor urged fans to get any suspicious marks checked out, after a spot on his nose turned out to be a form of skin cancer.
Posting a picture of his bandaged nose on his Instagram account, Jackman revealed that he discovered he had a basal cell carcinoma after his wife Deborra-Lee Furness persuaded him to have the mark looked at by a doctor.
He wrote: "Deb said to get the mark on my nose checked. Boy, was she right! I had a basil cell carcinoma.
"Please don't be foolish like me. Get yourself checked. And USE sunscreen!!!"
Last month, Jackman raised $1.85 million (£1.15m) at a charity concert held on his birthday.
The Wolverine actor, who turned 45 on October 12, sang, danced and told stories to a star-studded crowd at his 'One Night Only' gala at Hollywood's Dolby Theatre.
