Robert Pattinson has revealed that he only took up modeling to meet girls.

The Twilight actor became a model when he was 12 but admitted that he wasn't very good at it.

He told GQ Germany: "I [modeled] to meet girls. I was still young. I did it without a plan for a career of any form."

Pattinson, who was recently announced as the face of Dior Homme, said: "When I first started I was quite tall and looked like a girl, so I got lots of jobs, because it was during that period where the androgynous look was cool. 

"Then, I guess, I became too much of a guy, so I never got any more jobs. I had the most unsuccessful modeling career."

Twilight author Stephenie Meyer admitted this week that she felt sorry for Pattinson, who starred as Edward Cullen in the film franchise.

She said: I don't think anybody thought it was going to be like that. It's gone crazy. Hopefully it quiets down for them too."

Chris Brown has been sentenced to 1,000 more hours of community service.

The singer was accused by the LA County District Attorney of violating his probation in his 2009 Rihanna assault case by registering false community service reports, according to TMZ.

Brown's service will include manual labor on highways and removing graffiti.

He had his hit and run case dismissed earlier this week (August 15).

Meanwhile, Frank Ocean's cousin is reportedly suing Brown over the brawl between the two singers earlier this year.

Sha'Keir Duarte claims that Brown's bodyguard assaulted him and was egged on by the 'Don't Judge Me' star during the fight.

Brown has made claims that his recent seizure was triggered by "nonstop negativity" from the media.

Lady Gaga has alleged that US gossip magnate Perez Hilton mocked her on the day she had her hip accident.

Taking to Twitter tonight (August 16), the 'Applause' singer made the claim that Hilton had sent her a text message featuring an image of her in a wheelchair.

 

Across the picture, Hilton had allegedly written "KARMA", while it also featured an image of Madonna pointing a gun at Gaga.

On Twitter, the 27-year-old wrote: "Still have the text Perez sent me of me in a wheelchair w the words KARMA written across + Madonna pointing a gun at me. Day of my accident."

The singer, who recently posed naked for V magazine, then called on her fans to ignore this type of "hatred".

At the time of writing, Hilton was yet to respond formally to the claims on the social networking site. However, he did write shortly after Gaga's tweets were sent: "Woah! @LadyGaGa's Applause has dropped to #4 on @iTunesMusic in America. That country singer, Luke Bryan, is beating her."

Gaga was forced to cancel a number of 'Born This Way Ball' tour dates in February this year so that she could have treatment for synovitis, a severe inflammation of the joints. She had to then use a wheelchair, which she named Emma.

She subsequently had the use of a gold-plated wheelchair, which she later donated to a fan.

Fergie has officially changed her name.

The Black Eyed Peas singer, born Stacy Ann Ferguson, now goes by the name of Fergie Duhamel.

Fergie, who married actor Josh Duhamel in 2009, made the request in order to "conform to the first name which she is commonly and professionally known as, and has been for many years".

She celebrated a star-studded baby shower in Los Angeles last month. The star is expecting a baby boy - due in September - with Josh.

Fergie recently unveiled the music video for 'A Little Party Never Killed Nobody (All We Got)'.

The song features on the Great Gatsby soundtrack, and its accompanying music video sees Fergie donning Prohibition-era wardrobe for a wild party.

'N Sync to Reunite at 2013 MTV VMAs: Report

Timberlake is already scheduled to perform after receiving the Michael Jackson Vanguard Award at Brooklyn's Barclays Center, where his former bandmates are expected to join the "Suit & Tie" heartthrob for a surprise performance onstage, according to the New York Post.

Us Weekly also reports MTV producers are "trying to make it happen," insisting the reunion is "coming together."

If the '90s hitmakers do take the stage together, it will be one of the pop group's first performances since announcing their hiatus in 2002 after the band's Celebrity tour.

They last performed together in 2004, singing the "The Star Spangled Banner" at the Annual Challenge for Children, while their last televised performance together was a Bee Gees medley at the 2003 Grammy Awards.

The "Take Back the Night" singer is nominated for six awards this year and is currently tied with Macklemoreand Ryan Lewis for the most nods of any artists.

The MTV Video Music Awards will air live from Brooklyn's Barclays Center Sunday at 9 p.m.

Hugh Jackman has made a large donation to a children's hospital foundation in Canada. 

The Wolverine star and wife Deborra-Lee Furness donated $10,000 (£6,418) to the Montreal Children's Hospital Foundation. 

Jackman made the donation on behalf of the cast and crew of his upcoming movie X-Men: Days of Future Past, which is filming now in Montreal. 

Hospital representative Kim Fraser said of the donation: "We're absolutely thrilled. It's so generous. It came out of the blue."

Jackman recently denied reports of a $100 million Wolverine movie deal. 

He will next be seen in the thriller Prisoners alongside Paul Dano, Terrence Howard and Viola Davis.

Kathryn Morris and her boyfriend Johnny Messner have welcomed twins.

The former Cold Case actress gave birth to the baby boys on Wednesday (August 21), her publicist told Us Weekly.

Morris and Messner said in a joint statement: "We are so grateful for these healthy, beautiful boys."

The boys - whose names have not yet been publicly revealed - were born at Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles.

Morris announced that she was pregnant with twins back in April.

Her notable acting credits include Cool As Ice, AI Artificial Intelligence, Minority Report and Paycheck.

A judge has ruled that Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi and Jenni 'JWoww' Farley will be able to shoot their MTV reality show in a seaside New Jersey town.

Lawyer Ron Gasiorowski had attempted to block production of Snooki & JWoww in Berkeley Township over fears that it would violate zoning ordinances.

His legal request was denied in a recent court decision, when a judge ruled that production on the MTV show can move ahead.

The presiding judge also determined that production of Snooki & JWoww would not significantly impact Berkeley Township's Superstorm Sandy recovery efforts, reports The Asbury Park Press.

Snooki has previously spoken against those trying to block the series' production in an Instagram post, writing: "Unable how adults are trying to ban my son, fiancé and I from enjoying our summer at the shore. Grow up, get over yourself and move on. 

"This is not how we should be treating one another. Absolutely sick and very sad. I pray for you. There's much bigger things to worry about in life than trying to ban my family from your neighborhood."

Snooki & JWoww were allowed to film in Manchester, NJ last year, after citizens of Point Pleasant Beach and Toms River banned their filming.

Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry: Best & worst dressed MTV VMAs stars

The annual MTV Video Music Awards took place in Brooklyn, New York last night (August 26) and saw show-stopping performances from Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga and reformed boy band *NSYNC.

We take a look back at some of the best and worst dressed stars to grace the red carpet - from an understated Lady Gaga to a provocative catsuit-clad Lil' Kim - below.

 

Katy Perry wore a garish gold grill and Emanuel Ungaro leopard print dress, while Rita Ora strolled up the red carpet in an unusual Alex Vauthier feathered gown slit to the thigh and complete with train.

 

Miley Cyrus wore a black bejewelled '90s style Dolce & Gabbana crop top with matching high-waisted trousers, and Taylor Swift added old Hollywood glamour in a navy blue plunging Herve Leger gown. 

 

Selena Gomez stunned in a single-breasted Versace gown slit to the thigh, while Lady Gaga went understated (for her!) in a flattering black Prabal Gurung gown.

 

Iggy Azalea donned a daring see-through Emilio Pucci dress with gold embellishment protecting her modesty, and Ciara wowed in a sheer Givenchy gown with feathered detail.

 

Ellie Goulding wore a figure-hugging punk-themed studded gown, while Lil' Kim donned a plunging see-through catsuit (in typical Kim style) teamed with yellow suede stiletto Louboutin boots.

America's Next Top Model winner Eva Marcille has revealed that she is expecting her first child.

The cycle three champion, who is dating songwriter Kevin McCall, told BET.com that she is five months into her pregnancy.

"Being able to bring a life into the world is every woman's dream, but for me it's more than just a dream," she said. "It is a magical, mystical journey which I get to share with this amazing man... Kevin is the only man who I would share this moment in life with."

Marcille, who will guest star on the second season of BET's Real Husbands of Hollywood, added: "My life continues to be a bundle of incredible experiences. 

"I get to do this incredible show on BET and I get to be a mom and live this amazing life that God has bestowed upon me. Who could ask for anything more?"

Marcille and McCall went public with their relationship last March.

Michael Phelps is to cameo in the USA Network's drama Suits.

The 22-time Olympic medallist will appear in the show's upcoming third season return, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

 

Phelps will play himself in the midseason premiere, which will air in the first quarter of 2014.

Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) meets Phelps, the one sports client he could not sign a deal with, after Scottie (Abigail Spencer) attempts to land him as her first client at Pearson Spencer.

The retired swimmer has previously named Suits as one of his favorite TV shows, along with Game of Thrones and SportsCenter.

Last month, he described the show as "awesooommeee!!!" on Twitter, and was subsequently contacted by producers.

He has previously played himself in Entourage, and has hosted Saturday Night Live.

Suits will conclude the first 10 episodes of its third season on September 17.

Robin Roberts has revealed that she is ready to return to her "full life".

The Good Morning America, who had a bone marrow transplant almost a year ago after being diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome, told People that she will be working five days a week after Labor Day. 

"I'm looking forward to it," she said. "I want to get back to my full life."

Roberts also revealed that she is "really at peace now", saying: "I'm not as frightened. I feel 90% of myself again, and that's a great feeling."

She added that it is "great" to feel "stronger and a little more active".

Roberts is reportedly writing a memoir about her illness which is due to be released in April 2014.

Lamar Odom has been arrested for driving under the influence.

Khloe Kardashian's husband was stopped by police in San Fernando Valley, CA after driving too slowly in a "serpentine manner", according to the California Highway Patrol.

Odom allegedly did not stop when initially pursued by police, but did finally pull over after driving past three exits on the 101 Freeway.

The professional basketball star apparently declined to take any chemical tests, and was booked at a nearby precinct. He is being held on bail of $15,000 (£9,683).

Reports have suggested that Odom moved into a Los Angeles hotel this week following allegations that he was battling addiction issues.

Odom is said to have held a crisis meeting with Khloe days later and then moved back into their shared home. 

A spokesperson for the Kardashian family has not commented on this latest development.

Vin Diesel has claimed that he put his home on the line to make Riddick.

The Fast and the Furious star revealed that he would have been homeless had the long-awaited sequel not been completed.

"I had to leverage my house. If we didn't finish the film, I would be homeless," he told The Hollywood Reporter.

Diesel also revealed that he felt compelled to make the film after a conversation with a diehard fan who told him: "We want a rated-R movie and we'd be willing to pay $10 each. Surely you'd have enough to make it then."

He added: "Something about that comment made me think, bless their heart, and if I can do anything with this new-found success, if I could do anything at all, I could deliver on that wish."

Riddick will open in the UK on September 4 and September 6 in the US. Watch a preview video below:
