Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis are engaged, E! News exclusively confirms.
Kunis was spotted shopping earlier today wearing a diamond ring on that finger, and a source tells us that she and her former That '70s Show costar are indeed planning to make it official.
She and Kutcher, who are pretty darn adorable together, have been dating for almost two years. That '70s Show fans were first treated to signs of Jackie and Kelso's real-life coupling back in April 2012, though it took a number of months for them to be more public with their romance.
"It's amazing," Kurtwood Smith, who played Red on the series, said of their relationship in November 2012. "They're both great people, so I'm happy for them."
In fact, at the time, Smith joked, "Maybe they should get married. We'll all go to the wedding and that could be the reunion. It'll be a reality show."
Well, the wedding part is underway. Let's get to work on that reality show
After Hong Kong singer Daniel Chan ended his relationship with Cecilia Cheung, he was said to havegotten together with a Taiwanese nurse 12 years his junior last year.
Although the 38-year-old singer did not confirm that they are dating, he did not deny the rumours either. Recently, there were even speculations that the girl is two months pregnant, and that Daniel intends to hold a low key wedding in Hong Kong at the end of the year.
When queried about this, Daniel avoided the question and changed the subject. “You want to recommend me to star as a gunman in a movie?”
It was understood that Daniel met his girlfriend when filming Taiwanese idol drama Love SOS last year. Daniel was said to have bought an apartment worth NT120 million (S$5 million) in Taiwan, which he will officially receive in 2015.
Incidentally, last year, he had also expressed his hope of getting married, but not too soon.
A 28-year-old Chinese man by the name of Wang Cheng Long has allegedly been impersonating Hong Kong actor Nicholas Tse and performing in bars across the country, reported Chinese media.
In a microblog post, Cheng Long mentioned that he has admired Nicholas for 13 years. Since then, he has imitated his idol’s style by piercing his ears and learning to play the guitar. He later also participated in movies, including The Bullet Vanishes, as the actor’s stand-in.
However, it was discovered that Cheng Long was only an extra in the films and that he had made use of the opportunity to take photos with his idol on set. According to Nicholas’ manager, the actor has never hired a stand-in. “If the person is misleading others by impersonating Nicholas, we reserve the rights to pursue legal action,” he added.
This is not the first case of “celebrity impersonators” in China. Earlier reports stated that a group of impersonators have been performing at various pubs in the name of Hong Kong stars Raymond Lam, Andy Lau and Jacky Cheung. The trio even printed posters to promote their shows.
In response to the reports, a representative from Andy’s record label said that “there is no one in China who does not know who Andy Lau is”, so the company believes that the fans would not fall into the impersonators’ trap.
Meanwhile, Jacky’s manager commented that “there is a need to find out more about this incident," saying, “There are many people who imitate Jacky, but if his picture is used in posters, it would be considered cheating.”
Hong Kong actor Chapman To has come under fire by Chinese netizens for voicing his support against Taiwan’s trade pact with China, with some threatening to kill both him and his actress wife Kristal Tin.
Chapman’s outspoken support for Taiwan and Hong Kong regarding the Cross-Strait Service Trade Agreement has attracted the ire of Chinese netizens, resulting in verbal fights online between the actor and his naysayers.
Some netizens have called for Chapman to “get out of China and not come to China to make money”.
Chapman responded by taunting netizens to try “stop [him] from coming to China if [they] can”, and even spouted vulgarities in retaliation.
On Saturday morning, the 41-year-old actor posted photos of those who threatened him on the Internet and lamented that all the unreasonable netizens were born after 1990, further angering his anti-fans.
“Be careful that Kristal Tin doesn’t die together with you!” they threatened.
Disregarding the threat, Chapman laughed that there is no need to worry as Hong Kong is a lawful place. He added cheekily, “My wife’s assistant is so fat, she’ll be able to protect her if something happens.”
Chinese blockbuster film actress Zhang Ziyi posted up words of condolences online after Malaysian authorities announced on Monday night that the Malaysian Airlines flight MH370 had most likely plunged into the south Indian Ocean with no survivors on board.
Earlier, the Ziyi had revealed that blockbuster movie The Grandmaster martial arts choreographer Ju Kun had been on the plane. When the tragic news was announced, the actress said sadly, “After hoping for so long, there’s no miracle, but a tragedy instead!”
She gave her condolences to the victims’ families and said, “Let the victims rest in peace.”
Hong Kong actress Niki Chow, who is a good friend of Ju Kun’s wife Cheng Liping, had consoled the latter online earlier. “Dear Liping, you must be strong!” she had written. “Let’s pray for all on the flight that they will return safely.”
When the news was out on Monday, Niki phoned Liping immediately to console her. The latter told her, “Many families feel that the Malaysian authorities are rash with their decisions, and aren’t happy with their arrangements.”
“How did they prove that the plane had crashed?" she added. "They had previously said it wasn’t a crash, but now they said it is, and didn’t explain things to us properly. I refuse to believe that the plane has crashed; I don’t believe that my husband is gone.”
It was understood that Liping has been in Malaysia to wait for the news, together with the other victims’ families. She had originally intended to return to Beijing a few days ago, but with the recent development, she decided to remain in Malaysia for the time being.
Zhang Ziyi and other celebrities posted up their thoughts and condolences on Weibo and other social media. Huang Xiaoming wrote, “It’s a painful 17 days waiting. It’s 239 lives; please give us an answer!”
Hong Kong actress Ada Choi and her husband Zhang Jin, who have worked with Ju Kun before, also expressed their grief when they appeared for a commercial shoot yesterday. “We are very, very sad, and we don’t want to accept such an answer.”
