Susan Boyle announces sixth new album in five years Hope
Susan Boyle is to release her sixth studio album in five years.
The Scottish singer's new record, Hope, will be released in the UK on November 24 and in the US on October 21.
Boyle achieved overnight fame when she appeared on Britain's Got Talent in 2009 and was signed to Simon Cowell's Syco label. She has gone on to sell over 22 million albums worldwide and will embark on her first US tour in October.
The singer said of her new album: "I have really enjoyed making this album. I had a huge input in music suggestions and finally have been able to record one of my all time favorites, 'Angel', originally by Sarah McLachlan.
"I also am pleased to be able to sing some uptempo songs that show variation in my repertoire. There are also iconic songs, which were a risk to take on but I hope I've done them justice in my own way.
"I themed this album around inspiration and hope because those are two elements we all need in our life to drive us forward and inspire us to go out and capture our dreams - they worked for me after all."
Hope was produced by Cliff Masterson and Steve Anderson, who worked on Boyle's last album Home for Christmas. They have also produced for Lionel Richie, Kylie Minogue, Emeli Sande and Westlife.
The full tracklisting for Hope is as follows:
1. Wish You Were Here2. I Can Only Imagine3. Angel4. Abide With Me5. Imagine6. Will The Circle Be Unbroken7. Bridge Over Troubled Water8. The Impossible Dream9. Oh Happy Day10. You Raise Me Up (Featuring Lakewood Church Choir Live)
The album is available to pre-order on Amazon and iTunes from tomorrow (September 16).
