Shia LaBeouf arrested for disruptive behavior at Cabaret musical
Shia LaBeouf was arrested for causing disruption during a Broadway musical last night (June 26).
The actor has been charged with two counts of disorderly conduct and one count of criminal trespassing, after smoking and using obscene language, reports Variety.
The police were called after the 28-year-old ignored security guard requests to leave the premises.
"He was being rather difficult and combative, verbally... to the point where security guards asked him to please leave the premises and he refused," NYPD spokesman George Tsourovakas said. "Police were called and he was detained and arrested."
Broadway songwriter Benj Pasek witnessed the incident and claimed that the actor was seen leaving the Cabaret musical handcuffed and in tears.
"Just saw Shia LaBeouf in handcuffs in tears surrounded by 6 police officers outside of CABARET the musical. Oh New York, u is a crazy bitch," he tweeted.
Earlier this year LaBeouf was accused of plagiarising the work of graphic novelist Daniel Clowes in his short film Howard Cantour.com.
The former Transformers star also wore a paper bag on his head at the Nymphomaniac premiere in February, with the message, "I am not famous anymore" inscribed on it.
