Anna Kendrick: 'I've never wondered if I'm successful because I'm hot'
Anna Kendrick has covered Elle magazine's first ever social issue.
The Pitch Perfect actress said that she doesn't think her sex appeal has been a big factor in her success, and admitted that she was an "ultra late bloomer".
Discussing her sex appeal, Kendrick said: "I've never felt like I've exactly traded on my looks.
"When I was a teenager, I was an ultra late bloomer, and my mom would say it was a blessing, because it means you never have to wonder if guys are only interested in you because you've got boobs.
"I would have been thrilled if guys were interested in me because of my boobs!" she laughed.
The 28-year-old added: "Similarly, I think I'm lucky that I've never had a crisis about whether the only reason I'm successful is because I'm crazy hot. It's not something that crosses my mind."
Elle's editor-in-chief Robbie Myers described the actress as the "total package".
"Anna is the total package - funny, beautiful, talented, sexy, smart, and has a great voice," she said. "She is genuine and relevant, a critical thinker in 140 characters. She has the power vibe of a '40s femme fatale and is undeniably an It Girl for the social generation."
