Zhou Xun finally announced her new relationship through Weibo today
Chinese actress Zhou Xun has been linked romantically to many people in recent years, but this time it’s for real. The actress revealed her new relationship early this morning, when she posted a picture of her boyfriend and her on Weibo.
Although the 39-year-old screen darling has gathered a huge number of accolades in the film industry, which include three “Best Actress” wins, her love life has not gone as smoothly as her career. Since her breakup with Taiwanese stylist Li Daqi, she has not been in another stable relationship.
Instead, she has been plagued by a plethora of relationship rumours. Last year, Zhou Xun was rumoured to be co-habiting with Hong Kong actor Nicholas Tse, and after that, suspected of carrying singer-actor Tony Leung’s child. She denied the rumours, but was later spotted dining and strolling with married man Chen Huihong.
It looks like she’s finally free from all the speculation that has surrounded her dating status, for Zhou Xun finally revealed her relationship with American actor Archie Kao, who is known for acting in American TV series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. She posted a picture of the couple posing together on her Weibo, which had purportedly been taken when the lovers were in Paris together on 4 May.
An insider revealed: “They (Zhou Xun and Archie) have been dating for more than a year since they met in Hong Kong. During the course of their relationship, Zhou Xun has flown to New York numerous times to meet up with Archie, and he has also been to China to see her. They’re at the stage when the issue of marriage will be brought up soon.”
