Fann Wong and Christopher Lee are expecting their first baby together
The rumours are true – local actors Christopher Lee and Fann Wong are expecting their first child – a “horse” baby together.
Chris, 42, personally shared the good news with reporters in Taiwan at Catwalk’s prayer ceremony today. “We have been looking forward to this, thank you for your concern!” he said with a smile. In a follow-up Facebook post, he wrote: "I'm really happy [because] I am going to be a father this year."
Fann also confirmed the good news in her latest Instagram post: "Yes, we're having a BABY! (sic) Can't wait to see our little new bundle of joy! Huat ah everyone!"
The actress also thanked everyone for their "care and support" in this journey and said that their baby is "doing very well and very healthy".
"I hope that the baby will arrive safe and sound and healthy with everyone's blessings," she wrote.
A representative from Catwalk Asia also confirmed the good news when contacted and said that Fann, who is currently resting in Singapore, is “three months pregnant.”
Chris’ colleague, Bianca Bai, who was present at the prayer ceremony, was delighted to hear that the couple is expecting a baby and congratulated them.
“I have known Chris for a long time and I have been waiting to hear this piece of news. When I was told of it, I even had goosebumps! I’m really happy for them!” said the model-turned-actress in an interview.
Last Monday, an insider revealed that Fann is pregnant and in her first trimester of pregnancy. Said insider added that the couple have yet to announce the news due to “Chinese pregnancy taboos” that consider it inauspicious to announce one’s pregnancy during the first trimester.
