Pippa Middleton has opened up for the first time about the dress she wore at sister Kate Middleton's wedding to Prince William.
The 30-year-old (then 27) won widespread compliments when she wore a tight-fitting dress while serving as her sister's maid of honor, later getting tipped for Rear of the Year.
The Duchess of Cambridge's younger sister joked with the audience as she spoke at the Women in Advertising and Communications London dinner, saying of the Alexander McQueen dress that she was "just glad it fitted at the time", before adding: "In retrospect it fitted a little too well."
Speaking of the recognition she now faces following her sister's high-profile marriage, Pippa said: "As I have found, recognition has its upside, its downside and, you may say, its backside!"
Among the jokes, she admitted that being accused of cashing in on her royal connections hurt her and the negative response to her book Celebrate was "difficult".
Previous after-dinner speakers at the WACL have included comedian Ruby Wax, director Danny Boyle and Labor leader Ed Miliband.
