Popular Taiwanese girl group S.H.E member Selina Jen underwent a laser treatment last Thursday to get rid of scars under her chin, marks left from the accident three years ago when she suffered severe third degree burns during filming.
This is the first time she underwent scar removal treatment after recuperating from her injuries, and it is said that she needs to be treated two to three times before the scars can be completely healed.
On the first day of the Lunar New Year, Selina posted up a photo of herself with a bandage below her chin, which sparked discussions among fans that she may have gone for liposuction to remove her double chin. But she explained: “This is the first time I’m doing scar removal treatment – I’ll just start from the simplest.”
But the 32-year-old singer found the laser treatment too painful for her, and she may not have the courage to go through a second round of treatment. “Unless the results are good, I don’t want to do it anymore, because it’s too painful!” she confessed.
She added that she does not have any plans to undergo treatment for the more serious scars on her body and legs. “The doctor wants to wait till the scars have matured before he does the treatment for me,” she said. “He said I can focus on my career first.”
When she went home on Saturday, she took off her bandage and took a photo with her mother and sister, even commenting jokingly: “We look like three sisters!”
