Shawn Yue recently denied that there was something going on between him and Taiwanese actress Ivy Chan.
Previously, rumours of a budding relationship spread like wild fire when Shawn uploaded a photo of the frowning actress on his Weibo and commented, "I know you want to sleep very badly, but just bear with it for a while", sparking speculations that the two of them are more than just friends.
However, according to China News, while speaking to the media at the promotional event of his new movie, "As The Light Goes Out" with director Derek Kwok in Taiwan recently, Shawn stated that he was just poking fun at the actress.
"Ivy and I were working on a new film together. Wasn't that obvious? We're both adults," the actor clarified.
When informed that their fans wanted them to be together, Shawn replied, "People kept trying to help us in our relationship. That's just not possible."
He jokingly added that his mother, who used to pester him to settle down and get married, has even stopped doing so.
