Taiwanese host Janet Hsieh was spotted celebrating her 34th birthday with Singapore-based actor-host George Young. The Taiwanese-American TV personality turned 34 two days ago, and she had flown to Singapore early, reportedly to celebrate the occasion with her 'new beau'.
George was said to have booked a hotel vacation of four nights at luxury hotel W Hotel in Sentosa, spending a total of NT$50,000 (approximately S$2,100). He even arranged for her good friends to disguise themselves as make-up artists and cameramen and hid in the room to surprise her; the birthday girl also posted up photos of herself soaking in the hotel's bathtub on Weibo.
In Janet's response to media queries on her current relationship status, she confirmed that she is seeing someone now. Janet revealed that the man is an actor of foreign nationality, who is born in the same year as she is '“ but a few months younger than her, and that they have known each other for 10 years.
According to Taiwanese media speculations, the identity of Janet's 'new beau' is said to be same-age FLY Entertainment artiste George Young, who is a British national and an actor. Last Sunday, he also posted up photos of himself at W Hotel on Facebook.
The two were previously rumoured to be dating each other and share a 10-year-long friendship. George was also present at Janet's 30th birthday party and was seen attending a friend's wedding with her.
When the media tried to confirm if George is Janet's boyfriend, the Taiwanese artiste appeared stunned, and replied: 'This time, he gave me a really wonderful surprise. I'm still really touched, and won't think so much for now '“ I'm leaving it all to nature.'
Janet's ex-boyfriend and manager Li Chenbai sent his blessings, and hopes for her to 'find someone who can take care of her and make her happy.'
In George's latest interview with xinmsn, the 33-year-old shared that he is currently 'single and available.'
George's artiste management, FLY Entertainment, has yet to comment on these rumours at press time.
