Victoria Beckham has spoken about the opening of her first clothing store in London.
The designer previously announced that the shop would be on Dover Street in the Mayfair area.
In an interview with Women's Wear Daily, she said: "I think the time is now because I know my customer.
"[The location is] young and cool. There are great galleries in the area. There's Dover Street Market directly opposite of us, which is not a bad thing."
Beckham, whose dresses have been worn by Sandra Bullock, Beyoncé and Drew Barrymore, is also celebrating the opening of her office in New York.
"I'm taking my business very seriously," she added. "To take it to the next level, I need a team on the ground living and breathing everything here in America."
On becoming a successful fashion designer, Beckham noted: "I did believe in creative visualisation and I always had high hopes. I believed what I was doing and I think I have a strong point of view. I always hoped.
"I like to look at the big picture and I like to build things in the right way. I never went into this thinking that it would be a flash in a pan."
